The sights and sounds of The Witcher

Our friends at CD PROJEKT RED have just released a brand new trailer for the upcoming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt showcasing the unique universe that you're about to set foot in.

Set in a world where dark, gritty fantasy meets Slavic lore and story telling - the morally grey universe of The Witcher has always been half of the series' success. This newest trailer is about introducing you to that beautiful, but troubled land. You'll get a feel for the absolute scale and detail of the world that you'll be exploring - the openness, the choices, the consequences, and the freedom to influence a world that may not even be worth saving.

But you're not here to read about it, are you? Let's watch.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is just over a month away, and you can pre-order the game right now - it's a particularly great deal if you own the previous Witcher games and take advantage of the additional fan discount. CD PROJEKT RED have also just announced the Expansion Pass with 30 more hours of finely crafted content to be released in the following months.

Can't wait for this! ...might have to upgrade my computer a bit, or get a new console, don't know. Either way I am going to enjoy this.
Nice trailer. I really hope the game will be as good as i expect it to be.

Enebias: This made me LOL! XD

"Vampire"!
"Is it 1358, yet"?
"No..."
"Then fuck off"!

deonast: It is a very good line, hopefully the rest of the content is on that level and we haven't seen all the best in the video. Like you see in some movie trailers.
With a game of this scale ( much longer than your average movie, after all ), I doubt they could possibly fit all the good stuff into such a short trailer, even if they wanted to. And surely we're not going to see any spoilers for major story events in these official trailers.
cool
What I especially liked, is "rated M for mature" voiced by Geralt's voice. Superb.

Wow i didn't notice that!

Navagon: But that cynical part of me knows that there will be an Enhanced Edition at some point and there'll be a world of difference between that and what will be released initially.
Come on, you know you want to wait! Just think of it, no game issues and available mods (if you want it) and the hype has dialed down, so hopefully, expectations are more realistic but the experience will be better. ;)

Excellent line. I laughed too. :)

You're welcome. :)

Speaking of noticing - is that just me, or that vampire everyone is talking about and that guy who was tending Geralt in Nilfhaard (bergere and alike), they look kinda similar.
Guys, please... My PC can't run it. stop rubbing it in. Damn.

Oh well, at least I will have something really special waiting for me when I eventually get a new one.

I have to admit when I bring up the GOG homepage and see content on it that isn't related to The WItcher series, it is kind of disappointing. I mean, I manage to sift through everything to find all of The Witcher content anyway but not without grumbling a bit. Your screenshot illustrates the problem clearly though. Just look at how much of the space on the page is wasted by NON-Witcher content! Blah! GOG you can do better than this!

Why not put sales promos for other games on another page or something? Make gog.com homepage default to what is now the Witcher 3 preorder page? Just an idea anyway for customer convenience.

After W2 proved almost unplayable on release, until the second or third patch finally fixed it up enough... yeah I suppose you're right.

This is soooo.... subtle subliminal message "buy Witcher 3, human!"

Though I agree, an option to ignore certain games or even publishers entirely would be nice feature for search or browsing.
No, I'm not hater, but at times I simply do not want to see titles I own, instead of seeing them greyed out, for example, it'll allow me to browse faster. In addition, I may own certain titles elsewhere, or played them and wasn't impressed, therefore I know I don't want them, thus I'd prefer to keep them out of sight.
Currently, first page of Strategy games here covered by games I already own here on GoG, and around 90% of titles I own or played and have no interest in. More filters for filters throne! Please! Pretty please! :)
Brilliant trailer - great introduction to Witcher universe for noobies and good dose of humor and rated M because of topics being tackled and boobs (of course). This games looks so exciting that I'm not upset at all now about the pass - I will buy it soon and then new gaming laptop to run this game.... Oh I wish May would come sooner...

Best line in the trailer for sure! :)
Love the mix of humour and seriousness in this trailer. Actually surprised me it was official at first.
