you know how if a game gets updated, next to the [ACCOUNT] tab at the top of the website you get a "1" or more if more games are updated? when exactly are those supposed to "fade" away? surely the point is to alert you that a game or games have had updates, but after a while they should vanish. for over a year now i have had those numbers there now and no matter what i do are still there, annoyingly. i went to the shelf, to the specific updated only section, logged out/in, and nothing removes the numbers. yeah, ok, i get it; some of the games got some kind of updates after i got them. now please go away.

GOGer: when exactly are those supposed to "fade" away?
You need to click on the updated game once, to set the "Seen the update" flag, then it should go away after a while, assuming the caching server doesn't hiccup. Just visiting the "Updated" section of the library isn't enough.

What about "refresh" feature? Does it do the same thing or not?

I don't think it does. It just asks the server to ignore any caching and get all user data again, but I think it's mostly for the account page (library, messages, orders etc). If you have an updated game you haven't checked, after refreshing your account you should still have an updated game you haven't checked.

1 rep for first post of the day. 5 rep for a solution. Up to +5 rep per day for "high rated" posts. Up to -5 rep per day for "low rated" posts.

You could try asking support for assistance, though not sure if it is possible. I'd suggest doing a few clicks per day, and it will be gone before you know it ;)
The Go Grepo script checks the pages and thus removes the updated flags, so you could try running that.
nah, i'll do it all now. gog sakura clicker i am playing..

oh boy, no script of any kind for me. too scared. i'll hurt my finger instead...

Hey, I think I can help a little with a workaround.

Please go through all pages of your products in account first (or through updated list), then paste this into console:

(edit: fixed a mistake! copy again now.)

!function(){var o=angular.element(document).injector(),t=o.get("accountProductsRepository"),e=o.get("accountProductDetails"),n =t._products;for(productId in n){var c=n[productId];c.updates>0&&(console.log("Clearing updates status for: "+c.title),e.requestGameDetails(c.id).then(function(){console.log("Done.")},function(){console.log("Error...") }))}}();

How to open console - click to see

You welcome. :)

Maybe add the feature to community wishlist, so there's "clear" button or something? :)

Why not simply implement the feature, without having to wait for weeks until people vote on it. Some library update notifications are notoriously hard to get rid of (for some reason) and I find myself going back and forth several times until the "1" disappears.

Nice. Might just have to steal this for my script at some point... :D
2020 update;

i now have 573 updated games.. with blue circles. (so not total, updated)
not even gonna bother doing anything.. let everything get "updated" or whatever and stay that way..

notice how for five years they did not address this...
