HypersomniacLive: Makes me wonder if GOG ever tried to get Telltale Games to fix the known bug of Sybil being invisible in Episode 1 of Sam & Max Save the Worldhas.
She was? I bought the game directly at Telltale and played it through - I cannot remember such bug.

Can't be. He's on holiday. Someone probably hacked his account and is posting useful posts to make us think it is Judas.

The bug is only in the GOG version. It was first reported to GOG support 3 years ago and apparently Telltale refused to provide GOG with a fixed version.

Somebody asked Telltale again when they recently released Game of Thrones and they still don't intend to fix this bug.

mrkgnao: Crimson seems to imply that there is an older version (previously available on GOG?) that does not suffer from the bug. I know of at least one game where GOG offers access to an older version in order to bypass an unfixable bug in the current newer version: "King's Bounty The Legend" (Upper Hadar bug). It is not unthinkable to expect GOG to offer access to an old version as well as a new version.
I'm agree that GOG should offer the possibility to download a previous version of Far Cry 2 (before 1.03 patch). It's the unique solution for the Jackal tapes glich currently ^^

Klumpen0815: Wut? You mean there was a version where the enemies don't see you through the walls of tents?
Yes, this got introduced with 1.4. I have an earlier version (1.0x) on DVD where this doesn't happen (encountering the issue for the first time in the camp in level 1, it took me several attempts to understand what was happening).

But I don't think I have killed anyone with a machete so far (only use it to open vents).

Daliz: But FarCry 2?
The game is 7 (seven) years old. Probably got it's last patch like 6 years ago. It is what it is.

Crimson: I assume this is sarcasm, right? I mean we are talking about a platform that sells old games (till 2012 only "good old games"). The bugs of older games are well-known. If Gog.com is not able to fix it, they could give people a choice to buy/not to buy the game, which contains a list of bugs open accessible.
GOG mostly does compatibility patches or tweaks but for most "in-game bugs", they cannot do anything. Therefore when I'm purchasing an old game I'm also assuming I get the same old bugs as well. The publisher/dev in question is one of the big ones and the fact is that they just don't fix old games, ever, because $.

For newer games which might still get a patch, I think that GOG forwards issues to them. Whether the dev fixes them or not is another thing.

I agree with the "known issues" list though. Also if an earlier version of the game does not have a show stopper bug that a newer one has, the older one should be available for download also, at least after contacting support.

Ah, yes. The Jackal tapes glitch. Went to the game wiki and listened to them from there. Annoying, but the fact that enemies can spot you through walls is far worse. Almost gave up on it.

Well, I still don't intend to buy any of their games then...

Unbelievable - I just posted what I think of their reply. TTG customer support is absolute crap and it was since a long time. You pay with full money and get a game which does not work. Someone should sue them for such behaviour.

If I had the GOG version of the game which I don't I could see if you'd only need to change one or two files of the game to get it to work (it was that way with the German localisation of BTTF) and then I could upload that file to help people, since I have the original DVD release of the game right here.

That is why I love buying indie games. The devs really care for their customers and are happy to receive feedback and fix the game if necessary....and if they don't feel that way 10 or 20 e-mails mostly do the trick ;)

She still is, and as DoctorGOGgles explained there's no hope for an official fix. GOG support even offered me a refund.

[That's a whole lot of language changes! No flags for any of them (have all but Shelter 2). MaGog will go through them over the next 48 hours and report.]
Wow, nice to see all those games (that I own) having a language update. In the case of Syndicate Plus, I notified them a few days ago that the version they offered had in fact those 4 languages (on a setup screen when starting the game).

As usual, thanks a lot for your work ! Especially because of the lack of flags :S
But nice to see more languages :)
