mrkgnao: From MaGog's work-in-progress logs:

The language drop down menu for the Beyond Good & Evil™ installer now has only one language listed (Spanish). Before the New Account System (NAS), it had six languages (English+Dutch+French+German+Italian+Spanish). The file itself (a multilingual installer) has not changed.

HypersomniacLive: For some reason, every time you say NAS, the NSA comes to mind.
They also listen to you.

JudasIscariot: This is why we include tools for easy tweaking a given DOSBox game within the Start menu so that you can tweak the game to your heart's content without having to dive into a dosbox.conf file, except for the most extreme of cases.

Also, it's impossible to account for the near-infinite amount of hardware-software configurations that are present in the wild so to speak so making a DOSBox configuration that will work without ANY tweaking whatsoever on the user's part is also impossible :)
I understand and am just nagging. I also know that it's easier to placate the people who would otherwise be asking "why isn't my game starting in full screen", or "why do I have these black bars". And even if the configs resonated completely with my own preferences I would still comb through them closely.

All of us are dealing with this transition differently. I'm aware the complaining is far louder than the praise. But I doubt that I have to explain to you that most of us would not be getting testy (teste? ;P) if we didn't enjoy the service GOG has offered us thus far.

I love how the tag system was introduced, if it's any consolation. :)

That's a weird bug, actually. I just checked and we have the six languages on our side (the side we see of a game card) so only thing I can suggest would be to send a Support ticket for this and the SR2 rating bug :)

Done x 2

P.S. This is the third post I make on page #172 of this thread (using 50 posts per page) and for each of them, when I posted the entry, GOG loaded page 171, not 172.

Well, let me do a little praising then, if I may. Is the new account perfect? Far from it. Do I like it better? Definitely!

For one, I don't care much for having the library broken up in several pages, but to be honest I was getting tired of sometimes waiting for ever for it to open. Now it opens like a charm, and with the new search options and filters I can find anything much faster and easily than before. So although I didn't like it first, now I'm loving it. Then there's the tags. It's a dream come true really, now I don't need any more friging excel spreadsheets to keep track of my collection. The interface is kinda clunky, sure, but I'll take it over my old spreadsheets any day. The orders tab is also a bliss. A bit confusing, but a bliss when compared to the old way (emails? sometimes lost emails? no info on gifts you receive?). I even like the new look better. Again, navigation is a bit clunky with so many menus, but still. The only real gripe I have with the new account is how the Downloader links got so... hidden. That, I really don't like. But, overall, I see more positives than negatives.

I have left some feedback/suggestions on the new account somewhere on another thread, and I really hope that you guys listen to what we are saying and improve some things, but for now Judas, feel free to pass along to the rest of the team a hug for their hard work.

what do you mean ?

the downloader has 6 links , 6 links for the same file
the library has 1 language spanish like as said mrkgnao
the installer is a multilanguage one.
the gamecard have 6 languages

now each language got a seperate installer ?

while i'm writting there

Darsiders II gamecard is wrong for the bonus: it misses the soundtrack which is writen in the dlc gamecard
and the DLC gamecard doesn't mention the full content of the ingame DLC

unless there's something wrong with the soundtrack (i checked the link offered for the downloader it points to darsiders II directory.)

Actually, it does. Have you checked it recently? :)

The soundtrack is a bonus goodie with the DLC and has a separate download.

The Spanish link being the only one present in mrkngao's screenshot is a bug.
BTW, I didn't get a flag for Master of Orion 1+2.

My guess: because it is unbundled.

What do you see in your library? I have it as 1 MB on my end soooo....

By library I mean the newer Extras view, not the Downloader links...

JudasIscariot: It did actually :)

I just post a changelog and everyone who owns a given game is informed all at once whether they use the forum or not :)
avatar
PaterAlf: But would it really hurt to post a duplicate of the changelog in the game's forum? That way also people who don't own the game could read about the changes (which may be important to them).
I agree with that. I don't see any reason why the changelog should be private.

@Judas: It would actually be trivial to autogenerate a sticky post in every game forum that contains the changelog and autoupdates whenever the changelog gets updated. Could you forward that suggestion to the web team?
