DeathDiciple: New installers did work for me on win7 64bit, but on single monitor. If it's galaxy fuckup, did you try launching Rise of the Triad (2013)\Binaries\ROTTLauncher.exe directly, bypassing galaxy launch? Obviously, for single player at least, didn't even test mp.
Of course I tried starting the game using \Binaries\ROTTLauncher.exe as well as \Binaries\Win64\ROTT.exe, too.

The result was always the same.

BTW, the integrity check also didn't work here.

By the way, the new version (galaxy-enabled shortcut or not) ran for me just like it did before; terribly, but Rise of the Triad (2013) has never ran particularly well for me, ever since it was first released.

DeathDiciple: OT but does anyone get random timeouts on gog site past few days? Clearing cache/cookies/logins doesnt seem to do anything, and it does the same on both linux and windows firefox.
GOG's secure connection has been verified by Verizon for about a week.

I'm not sure, but I think GOG has been moving to new servers and that's the source of the problems lately.

Apparently thr rights on the gothic IP was reverted to the developer Piranha Bytes already in 2012. Possible that Nordic had a limited right to only distribute them.

In a case similar to Supreme Commander, Nordic acquired the distribution rights from JoWood for Gothic 2, Gothic 3, Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods, and the Gothic collection. They were only allowed to distribute the original Gothic as part of a collection, since they didn't have the right to distribute the original one on its own (that's why you won't see the first Gothic being sold anywhere on its own and why it never left GOG, because Piranha Bytes was the publisher). Now, the rights have expired (or will soonly expire on other stores), so Piranha Bytes has full control of the Gothic IP.

I get that for all https://secure.gog.com urls. It started acting up this way last week I think.

The regular, non-https urls will work fine however.

I'm all for converting the entire web to https, but the links need to work or it isn't so useful. ;oP

Yeah, noticed that. These links should work regardless. Unfortunately, website-related problems are not uncommon for GOG.

You could try manually changing this url to http://www.gog.com/en/account/games/updated until the problem gets sorted.

It might not happen that soon though since I think a new website frontend is being developed and will eventually replace the current one. Again, I've heard nothing official to confirm this, so it's really just something I suspect has been going on behind the curtains for some time now.

Yeah, I guess that could be it. I can't reproduce it on my 2nd network so it might be isp/dns server issues, don't think we imported chinese firewall just yet.
