Grargar: "Fun", isn't it?
Yes, I'm laughing so hard I'm about to pee my pants.

mrkgnao: If only it were so, for then MaGog would have been able to report it all, although at some delay (currently up to 12 hours).
However, much of the information we want (e.g. patches) is never updated on the game pages.
It's one piece of info that used to be on the game pages, isn't it? So much for making an informed purchase.

I like how GOG said that our experience with the site would not change because of Galaxy; it has already declined, and Galaxy isn't even here yet.

I'm afraid to go open my own shelf now, not ready to face this mess. Does it at least still link to the game page?

It does and I can also download those two files (which is why I know what they are all about).

I tried to find out what this productbonus for outcast could be. Seems as if it is just an older version of the game itself?

Take a look at the game's page and you'll notice that its name has changed to Outcast 1.1 and the changes are detailed in the product's description. The main installer is this new 1.1 version, while the productbonus is the old version (which should have been called Outcast Classic as it's called on the game's page).

Does anyone know which are the improvements of 1.1 over the normal Outcast?

Aaah - thank you - I never would have noticed this. No flag, no message, no nothing.....

A general overview of the changes is described on the game page's product description. As for exact changes, I can't say for sure.

Outcast 1.1 has been recompiled from the original source code and improved to run smoothly on today's computers. The main improvements compared to the original version are: multithreaded voxel renderer for higher performances, software bilinear filtering on polygonal meshes, part of the HUD redesigned to match higher resolutions, new high-resolution sky paintings, new launcher, native support of xbox gamepad, user-friendly controller configuration, a lot of bugs fixed and improved stability.

And I just realised that the avatars are not mentioned on the game page. Has GOG gone on Xmas vacation and left the cleaning crew to cover for them?

Seems to be the case.
Posted a call for help to try to have MaGog solve our game update crisis:

Best of luck finding someone willing to do it, mrkgnao, sadly I'm useless as I'm not a coder.
I now installed the new Outcast 1.1 version. It should be mentioned that the game now has English, German and French audio (and videos) and additional to subtitles in these languages it has subs in Italian, Brazilian and Dutch.

O.O

We finally have Manfred Lehmann's voice again without any additional language patching? Yeeha!

To all foreigners here:
He is the synchronous speaker of Bruce Willis (and some other butch characters in movies and games) in Germany and has a way cooler voice than his famous alter ego himself.
