Economy

Reduced population output from occupied territories by 20%.
Manpower from tribesmen and freemen reduced by approximately 45%, non-primary dominant culture territories now provide 20% less output.
Governments
Moving Province capital now reduces Province Loyalty instead of Political Influence. It is no longer possible to move the Province Capital if you are below 50 Province Loyalty (up from 33%). Moving province capital to a City or even more so a Metropolis will result in a lesser hit.
Slightly reduced pop type happiness reductions from passive deity modifiers.
War & Peace
Macedon will now be far more likely to oppose Phrygian demands in the initial Diadochi War event series.

Script
Achievements

Changed every country specific achievement to have a variable backup, so even if you change the country name (through a formable decision or a mission), you should still be able to get the achievement in question. Among other things this means Sparta can get ‘Molon Labe’ and ‘Laconic If’ even if they first form another country. This will not affect games started before the 1.4.2 patch.
Meroitic culture countries are now valid for the “New Kingdom” achievement.

TWEAKED

- Improved performance for pathfinding, the task service and the drawback system.
- Map Generation: Changed ruin distribution amounts so the scenery doesn’t look as repetitive as before while also changing the amount of spawned story ruins.
- Decreased building costs of the Shelter (Wood: 96 to 68, Scrap: 180 to 100, Plastic: 12 to 6, Cloth: still 10, Build Time: 300 to 250)

KNOWN ISSUES

- Older savegames are not compatible with this version.
- The Forester Lodge and its work mode: “Cut & Reforest” is currently unbalanced. Trees are cut down faster than the time it takes to replant and regrow them.
- Settlers currently do not get the protection clothing with the best protection value but simply the one that is the closest.
- Using the loot and return window to get the collected resources from an expedition back has some issues, when filling up the capacity.

Encased: A Sci-Fi Post-Apocalyptic RPG [InDev]
Content Expansion II (16 April 2020) - Part I:

- Reworked balance, fixed skill trees, improved locations, new equipment, cryogenic laser, story quests and much more. It took less than four months to work on the new patch, but it seemed like an eternity to us.
- After the release of the December patch, we received a lot of feedback that made us rethink the game balance and how it feels. While developing the second patch, we tried to make Encased more stable, intuitive and friendly game that won't force you to restart your playthrough because of a "broken" character build or guess what you need to do in your new quest. We have also added tactical diversity to battles by implementing cover system and strategic points. We've also introduced grenades with an area of effect. Because of that, battles in Encased feel completely different.
- RPG systems have been also changed a lot: skill trees (for example, "Psionics" and "Medicine") are starting to come to life. Abilities for certain types of weapons were added. There is no need to study them, they are weapon-related. That allows us to emphasize the difference between a pistol and a revolver. The outcome of the battle is also influenced by the time of day, the tendency of opponents to attack in packs or alone, and many other factors, which we will talk more about in one of our updates.
- As avid RPG fans, we know that RPG is more than just a good combat system and a set of stats, skills and perks. RPGs are famous for a great atmosphere, and a lot of changes in Patch 2 are made with that in mind. Almost all locations have been reworked. We added a lot of new 3D models, worked with materials and light, making Concord look completely different from Magellan, and Magellan looks like no other bunker scattered across the desert. In addition to the bunkers, in the desert you will find separate dialog branches for a character with low intelligence (right now they are in a test mode, and present only in a few locations of the prologue!), new random encounters and a slightly revised storyline of the New Committee, preparing the player to meet with the other factions that will appear in the next patch.

Fixed

- Fixed an error in the TaskService when clicking “Build next” or “Repair next”.
- Fixed radioactive rain not irradiating the environment.
- Market no longer stocks weed as the Pub needs it in its inventory.
- Scrap and wood can no longer be irradiated by the environment. This fixes the issue that tools, neckscarfs, etc. could be radioactive.
- Expeditions, from which you can find a random field/plantation seed, will no longer spawn seeds that the player already owns.
- Players can now try to get into the Endzone Story multiple times.
- Expeditions now take the right equipment with them when they are sent to loot a resource deposit.
- Swapping resources between the expedition and the location they are looting now works more reliable while swapping different amounts.
- Fixed settler badges being displayed wrong sometimes.
- Fixed stats not being displayed in production buildings.
- Unique story expeditions are now only spawned once per map.

Tweaked

- A Market will no longer “steal” resources from another Market.
- Increased max. worker amount of Medical Facility: 1 -> 3.
- If you are playing from a savegame, only newly built Medical Facilities will be affected.
- Increased max. worker amount of Workshop: 1 -> 2.
- If you are playing from a savegame, only newly built Workshops will be affected.
- Changed threshold until settlers achieve a badge: 5 -> 4 seasons
- Improved different tooltips for buildings and tasks.
- Large Scrap Piles now provide more scrap and therefore need a Scrapyard to collect them.
- There will now always be a rainy season after a drought season
- There will now always be a rainy season after a no-rain season, if the upcoming season is not a drought.
- Remastered and improved ingame music.
- Settlers spawned by a story expedition now walk to the Expedition Station after "Loot & Return".

Known Issues

- The Forester Lodge and its work mode: “Cut & Reforest” is currently unbalanced. Trees are cut down faster than the time it takes to replant and regrow them.
- Settlers currently do not get the protection clothing with the best protection value but simply the one that is the closest.

All of our databases have been opened up for editing - making it possible to customize the game
Supplies in Izkors shop will now always cost the same
Most of the bolt-action rifles have had their accuracy and damage slightly improved (Mauser 98 and Mosin-Nagant, both non-scoped and scoped variants)

AVPRO requires media foundation to be installed on Windows which is installed by default unless you have Windows “N”.
