amund: The #1 on the leaderboard has 1069370 XP. I have 167780 XP and spent $67.
Wow, how do you manage to get 167780 XP out of $67? That's about 2500 XP per Dollar while I get about 1000 here.

HunchBluntley: You'll get more XP from games that cost more in the U.S. than they do in your region.
But Sweden probably is not a country where games are so much cheaper than in the U.S. (at least it shouldn't be :P).
avatar
Cavalary: Nope, that's right, you needed the min 500 XP boost from the Fall sale to get it. But I'd say it still counts as a way to get it without buying anything.
avatar
eiii: Depends on your point of view. :) You had to buy something during the Fall Sale to get that boost. :P
Nope, you didn't have to buy anything in the Fall Sale to get the boost, you just had to participate (getting 100 XP would be participating).

I had like 3000 or 6000 XP from the Fall sale and got 10% for using the wallet. Bought mostly newer games, maybe you get more XP from those.

SCM2308: Look, you started this flame war, man. Go have some egg nog and a cup of tea. This is why I never post stuff online. Too many know-it-alls think they can hassle me. Dude, I paid a lot of money to this company of which I am grateful they are here online and grateful for the games and their help.
says the man(?) who started this pointless argument after being pointed at the pointlessness of his argument.

Anyway, eggnog with tea - what a weird and wonderfully tasty combination. Developing a thirst for eggnog right now. ...strangely, personally i feel more having more like a hunger for eggnog, although it is a drink.

That would help explain the extra 100,000, then. :)

As always with regional pricing, it depends on the game. That, plus the 10% extra XP when purchasing with the Wallet, plus the "free" XP for participating in the Fall sale & getting badges in this one, would probably account for it.

SCM2308: Who the heck is this? I didn't start anything; its people like you on forums like this who start in. I don't drink coffee; I drink tea and egg nog is in season. So what? I've lived in three other countries around the world where I drank tea. All I wanted was one question originally answered but people online want to turn it into an entire argument. I knew it was a mistake to even bother posting in the first place. And no it wasn't pointless; but your negative remarks are duly noted...
No one was being remotely rude to you. You, on the other hand, are now being rude to those who took the time to reply to your earlier posts (which, for some bizarre reason, you have now deleted). There are a lot of rude people in this forum, but Grargar isn't generally one of them. Certainly there's nothing in his posts that I saw as remotely offensive.

Please learn how to forum without flying off the handle whenever someone disagrees with you.
Purchased yesterday 4 games right before the sale ended. There was 5 hours left i think.
Well, actually 1 game and 3 expansions/dlc's.

- Sea Dogs: Caribbean Tales. € 2,79
- The Witcher 3 Blood & Wine € 14,99
- Pillars of Eternity The White March part I € 8,99
- Pillars of Eternity The White March part II € 8,99

Yes, i know, i could have purchased the expansion pass, but i don't like passes much. Got bad experience with it.
With the purchase of blood & wine i got the game of the year edition for free. Thanks for that. And since i've spend € 34 i got all the 3 games unlocked, so i have Stasis, Shadowrun: Dragonfall director's cut and Shadow Warrior classic redux now in my library. I think it was a good sale. Only too bad that not all games from my wishlist were in the sale.
Anyway, i'm done for this month i think.
I survived it .

Gixer: No, there is know windowed mode in the game.
avatar
IronArcturus: That's too bad. Do you know if it runs well in Win7? Or does it have any resolution settings?
Can´t say how well it runs on Win7 but it runs well on Win10 for me.
You can choose three diffrent resolution settings like

800x600
1024x768
1280x1024.

Not much more too choose from except for this.

Cavalary: Did you consider the 600 XP from the 2 Twitch streams? Sounds like you missed this second one, for Gwent, since it's 5200 with it.
That would explain it! So everything is fine and correct. :)
avatar
Roxolani: But I think GOG gave 500 XP boost to all members who participated in fall sale even if they didn't buy anything (people who unlocked all badges). So you can get SWCR for free.
avatar
plan99: Nope, you didn't have to buy anything in the Fall Sale to get the boost, you just had to participate (getting 100 XP would be participating).
So you got a boost of 500 XP for participating in any way in the Fall Sale and you got a boost of 3000 XP for reaching 30000 XP during the Fall Sale. What boost did you get for reaching 5000 and 15000 XP?

Must have been mainly the latter one as the 10% bonus for using the wallet and a boost of 6000 XP from the Fall Sale still only give less than 80000 XP for $67 when you calculate with 1000 XP per Dollar. So it may be worth to have a closer look at that during the next sale with an XP mechanism.

FAQ page is still there :)

"WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THE XP BOOST FROM THE MONSTROUS FALL SALE?

The XP you collected during our Monstrous Fall Sale will give you a nice XP boost to use in The Monstrous Winter Sale. Specifically: those who collected up to 5000 XP get a 500 XP boost. Those who collected up to 15000 XP get a 1000 XP boost. Those who collected more than 15000 XP get a 3000 XP boost."

So:
Participate in any way, <=5000, don't need any purchases = +500 now = enough for first game with no purchases
5001-15000 = +1000 now
>15000, so got all 3 free games and wasted the XP on top of that = +3000 now

Yeah, I overlooked that little "up to". That's where my misunderstanding came from. Thanks!
