Not having any other accounts than GOG has a lot of advantages (less hassle, more money, more time, smaller backlog). ;)

Well, my initial exposure with Desura was... let's just say much less than I hoped for. You are right in that the client is not needed. Why, I could not even download the game through the client. Mind you, I am using Desura client for Linux. So maybe you can only download the game with Desura client for Windows. But then what is the point of providing the client for Linux if that is the case?
