As far as I know alcohol as gifts is not allowed.

The beer in my town is called Shumensko... and the factory is part of Carlsberg ;) So I guess this answer your question of quality ;)

All this talk of beer reminds me of this one. I'm not a beer drinker, but I did use this for a recipe once. I think I'd recommend it though, if you can find it, even if that IS coming from someone who doesn't usually have beer. :)
