Talking about posts 8015-8020? I just chalk it up to Strong & independent non-posters who have the courage to be virtually silent.

That is why I regularly refute the arguments of posts I have downvoted. Because I prefer to prove them wrong rather than just whine.
Well that is why I like this thread on the gog forums, as it is the most diverse in ideas and topics possible. People come here to argue and debate, while everyone else on the thread up and downvotes to their pleasing.

I just find it funny when people complain about downvotes when they said something that most people on this thread don't like, acting like GOG rep actually matters. But one thing Ill give most people on this thread credit for, is that they let people speak their mind, unlike others who want this thread remove from gog due to people expressing opinions they don't like and being a popular place for discussion.
How many of you misogynerds are excited for Gal Gun hitting steam on the 27th?

Considering how GOG gets cold feet when it is about moe games claiming they are too niche (They have not released all the Neptunia games), I get the feeling this will go to my wishlist of games not released on GOG. It is not my fault GOG refused to get my money.

I've never understood that "too niche" argument. Aren't vintage & Indie games niche as well?

Yes, but they are not as unpopular with bullies. We know GOG does not feel secure enough to tell bullies to go fuck themselves.
That is why we get some SJWish indie games released quite often while "weeaboo" games and Hatred get rejected. moe games and Japanese games in general are harder to get on GOG because they often get assaulted by all kinds of bullies, not only SJWs, but many bullies, for releasing them.

I have noticed how most Japanese games (I own many of them) get comments on the release forum post and review section on their store pages with things such as "Keep that Japanese trash away from GOG" or "Fucking weeb games." Even HunniePop got very negative comments when released just for being an anime styled erotic game, comments not even the lowest game sin the Leisure Suit Larry series got.

A large vocal minority on GOG is pretty much intolerant of anything Japanese or anime styled, and SJWs back them most of the time because anime styled games tend to not stick to their world view. That is why we don't have the whole Neptunia series and no Hatred, instead we are stuck with Read Only Memories.

GOG uses the excuse of "Not good enough" and "Too niche" as a way of refusing to admit bullies are pushing them and they don't feel powerful enough to go fuck themselves. Of course they will not admit it and could even ban me for saying so, even wipe this whole thread if needed, to cover the wound all kind of bullies inflicted upon them. But they are not the bad guys, they are just mere victims.

I even made a thread expressing how I found their lack of faith in Nepu disturbing, but I don't even know if it still exist, and the threads requesting Hatred got abandoned due to people no longer being able to fight the bullies in there, many grow scared of speaking their minds to avoid bans or downrep, this thread is a rare specimen.

That reminds me of an article I read not so long ago about a band called Black Pussy which got it's events cancelled at two venues and then was given the chance to play at even better places. One of the venues cancelled them because a group of feminists was going to hold an event at their place, they asked them to kick Black Pussy because they did not feel safe, in the end the feminists cancelled the event and the venue got none for giving in. That is what is going to happen to GOG if they don't stop letting Steam take their audience.

I would rather own the whole Neptunia series on GOG since I love DRM free games, GOG designed logos (Round and cute logos), and simpler clientless installers, but if GOG keeps on telling me the games I like are too niche, then it is their fault I end up buying those games somewhere else. I am not going to miss great game series just because GOG. Heck, Steam has Final Fantasy games, some of which my friends, and even best friends recommended me. I am fond of the Final Fantasy games I have played. If GOG does not want to release them regardless of their alleged cooperation with Square Enix, then I will buy them on Steam.

I used to boycot Steam in the past, especially after the mods scandal, but I can't boycot a company that decided their audience are gamers and not only indie gamers and retro gamers. Of course I am not abandoning GOG and that is why GOG is my start page when I open my browser, but I am not a silly idealist, they have failed me as a customer and that is going to cost them bucks. My birthday is close, I am often given money. GOG will face the consequences of their failure soon. And whoever has the games I don't own of the Neptunia series in the December Sales period will be drilling a hole to my wallet. I don't care who it is. Being an idealist is at odds with being an hedonist.

Oh. I got so mesmerized by my own little speech on business and bullies I forgot yo include the article I mentioned :P

Hold your horses there for a second, friend. While I'm all for blaming SJW cunts for every problem they cause. This one might not be entirely their fault, and instead more of a mix between jap publisher's attitude towards PC gaming and DRM Free, and the possibility of there not being a fanbase large enough to support separate gog releases.

Not to mention gog's own failings as well, such as rejecting a CAVE shooter (Mushihimesama) as "too niche". Or not being able to secure the already DRM Free Stein's gate before steam did.

I'm hoping gog will reach out to PQube and get some kind of relationship started, even if this particular game gets no release here, as they together with Xseed seem to be one of the few unbiased and consumer friendly porting/translating companies right now.

So what I'm saying is unless gog specifically states they don't want the weeb audience because of soggy knees (I mean this is the company that made 3 witcher games after all, I think some benefit of the doubt can be granted) let's not point fingers just yet.

My argument is that GOG is generally bullied by people who don't like those games, not only SJWs, and indie devs into releasing most indie games while ignoring Japanese games because they don't believe there is an audience for them because the audience is not vocal enough.

Signed.
So. I found this video on the Harmful Opinions channel which proves the slippery slope is very real. I can tell the story featured in this video is proof that things are getting worse and madness is winning this fight.
