To relive this a bit, I decided a deadline I will start the Giveaway on the eight of March and it will go for a week until the Ides of March. Time will be taken is the Coordinated Universal Time.

Aramandur: If I may, I'd like to donate a few games.
And again thank you very much. As a reminder, the giveaway will start on sunday UTC at the date change so you have only with today two more days to contribute.
Hmm, not sure if this sounds discouraging, but as the latest news goes, this virus problem now grows more serious in several other countries and regions as well, including at least Japan, South Korea and the US; while at the mean time, the situation in China gets somewhat under control these days (still bad, but better than before). I was thinking that, maybe we shall make this giveaway universal? Because it's not just a disaster for us Chinese anymore, and as the situation escalates, people from other places may have to restrain their outdoor activities as well soon.
Just some thoughts of mine.

Yeah though so too. Especially in Italy there is now the problem. The irony is, if I would have known I would have bought TES IV during sale. Did not bought because I focused only on games in chinese.
I think Japan has way more cases than people here, here as in Japan, think.
The reported numbers are low, but probably because people just aren't getting tested.
Most of the deaths that I've seen reported online have been elderly people who were reported to have it after it being too late.
Also hospitals are refusing people since the patients already there are vulnerable, but that also means those people who are thought to be infected, do not get reported.

and then there's the whole asymptomatic but infected thing.

We should totally not have the Olympics this year.

Korotan: As someone of you already read in the Communitygiveawaythreads from Finkleroy, I plan together with Makotolia to do a giveaway for the chinese community that is stuck now home because of the corona virus. Now I made this thread for one to ask if other people want to participate in gifting games too and second if the rules are okay.

My first one would be that they do not have more then 250 games because if they do, they have enough games already to play.
Second one they would need at least some activity in the forum for profing, they are not there to just grab a free game.
Third they need to write a whole cheering up sentence in chinese for one making other people feel better and second to proof, they are not just writing with google translate.

My other problem is, that I am completely got surprised from new GoG's system regulation so that you can not buy a gifted game on sale more then once every 24 hours, mayby as a countermeasure for keysellers so that people do not buy on sale games cheap and than resell them. If no one else gonna help I think I will gonna let Makotolia decide, who writes the nicest messages and get one copy of either Baldur's Gate, Stardew Valley, or Stronghold Crusader 2 Special Edition. Mayby I will stick with it.
Do you guys have any more ideas or comments?
Your suggestion is nice, but unnecessary. On GOG, "Akalabeth: World of Doom" is for free and that's really all the Chinese need, you know what I'm saying. If you have the Coronovirus, you have to play "Akalabeth: World of Doom" and just that, no other game needed. Don't tell me like that's not everybody's taste, because it is. This game is like the ultimate game and perhaps the ultimate cure for the Coronavirus! You're welcome.

I agree with you. These are indeed all commonplace when a pandemic starts, it seems (I mean, they just happened in China too, except maybe the hospital refusing patients part), and in addition, there can be people who are afraid of being treated as infected and thus trying to stay at home unreported. And yeah, the Olympics should at least be postponed. It likely won’t be as profitable as it should be for tourism at this rate anyway, so there’s really no reason to risk safety for it right now, IMO.

There won't be a pandemic ... at least not until July 2020, because a lot of people would loose a loooot of money(*)

Agree on this one, but i'd expect you would find enough people to get there regardless of the situation. I mean, "it's just the flu!"
Otherwise I can explain why 75.000 people going to a soccer match (Germany, Baeryn Munich vs. Schalke) or 2.500 people boarding a cruise ship (Grand Princess).

recommended updates regarding sars-cov2 (they are usually 1-2 weeks ahead of mainstream media):

(*) world bank issued a "pandemic fond" (worth 425mio USD) in 2017. If there is a pandemic, the money would be used to fight it. If there is no pandemic until June 2020, the investors would get their money back with approx 10% interest rate.

drxenija: why toilet paper?
Rumours, and social media fears. I think I read somewhere they say the materials used to make masks are similar to toilet paper. Its just plain annoying for some people. Situation resolved itself in about 2 weeks. I think I read somewhere they're having the same problem in Australia, again, toilet paper hoarding.
Toilets are a symbol for civilization. If you can`t use a toilet, you`re not civilized. So naturally people want to have the opportunity to use their toilets as long as possible to feel civilized. Once you run out of toilet paper, you immediately mutate to a pre-sapiens being, unable to speak and think.

Planting trees (and using their leaves for toilet paper) is the civilized ecological thing to do! :-P
