zeogold: Update: Saint's Row 2 added, courtesy of omega64.
After playing some Saint's Row 3 I got more interested in the franchise, so I would like Saint's Row 2, plus the DRM-free offer with GOG Connect is still available.

omega64: Reminder for everyone that SR2 is still available for GOG Connect for 22+ hours.
Used GOG Connect to get this on GOG and compared both versions. Unfortunately GOH has added a framelock to the game included in the executable which you cannot remove sou if you play on GOG you have to live with it.

I cannot see how any of this tools change the GOG introduced framelock. The steam versiion is different. I know about the Gentlemen of the row MOD but afaik it does not change the executable.
Yay! :D Thanks Impaler26 for "Quantum Conscience" and Zeo for running the giveaway! :) I'm still lurking around, reading posts, just haven't had anything to contribute.

It changes the fact that you're not stuck with the framerate lock which you seemed to believe. ;)
The framerate lock makes sense though, the game's framerate is very unstable even on amazing rigs.
30 makes it more consistent.
Just disable it if you dislike it.

You could write some recommendations?
That might help.

Again: you cannot. GOG (and only GOG) changed the executable. You can remove the nvidiainspector setting but you cannot change the executable. If I am wrong please tell me where and HOW I could remove the framelock because I played this on 60fps on steam and GOG only let me play with a bit ober 30.

Haven't tested it myself but Pcgamingwiki says this should work:
http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Saints_Row_2#High_frame_rate_.28GOG.com.29

If that doesn't work I wonder why they would add that. O_o

I'm not sure what you mean by they changed the executable.
Does the executable change the Nvidia inspector setting back to 30?

You can remove this much easier by simply using nvidiainspector itself. I did this but the lock is still on. I also changed ONLY the GOG executable in my steam directory and the lock was on again. They changed the executable that is the problem. I don't even know why they ALSO added an nvidiainspector profile but afaik this is the only one able to remove. Also wiki is wiki and therefore written by users and users do make mistakes.

The changed executable simply prevents the game to reach certain framerates. As I said I tried it myself AFTER removing the NI framerate lock.

Yes, that is what I thought as well. I hoped that removing the NI setting would remove the framerate lock but it did not. If you should ever find a way please let me know.
