Besides the info in the two posts above this one you're reading now: to become eligible one usually needs to participate in the forum community by posting posts/replies to and interacting with the other gog users in various(non-giveaway) threads across the forums for a period of time.

Once you've done that, you can try to make a request from the main games list in this thread(they're listed in post 2).

Note: each eligible gog user can request a single game from the non-daggered games list(in post 2) & a number of games from the daggered list(also in post 2) once per calendar month.
