TheBigCore: What is the Discord invite link, by the way?
I'm not posting it in public. Would you like for me to message it to you?

I don't have nor use Discord (I have no use for it and doesn't feel right to create an account just to participate on a giveaway). I wish you finkleroy and everyone else the best on this new stage of the giveaway, it was nice while it lasted here and it sure was one of the better things of this community here. But change always finds a way in our life. If someday I have a code to donate I'll send it to you through a PM here on GOG (I'm assuming that's still an option).

Best wishes and the best of luck! And one last time here on this forum: thank you finkleroy and everyone who made this giveaway possible. It may sound dramatic, but you guys were sometimes a light in the darkness of this forums and some of the controversial things that pop their heads around here (oh wait, I had dark mode activated...).
Thanks to HypersomniacLive and finkleroy for Twinsen's Little Big Adventure 2! Never heard of it before but retro stuff? Yes please.

I'm undecided on transitioning over.

While I do have discord installed, I go through cycles of either not using it at all for months and at others using it for IRL purposes in which case I'd be checking more often, but not really wanting to cross streams even if the GA is on a separate dedicated server.

But whether I end up coming along or not, I really appreciate all of finkleroy's time and work on these 2 massive GAs, plus a shoutout to all the donors (not least Doc) and the hosts of the earlier versions.

Even though I only participate a few times a year, checking in to see the activity and donations has been a key part of my gog community experience.

With this piece of the community going away I will probably continue drifting away from gog forums and store.

Actually, we can continue GOG Community Giveaway tradition here, on forums. ;)

Let's discuss the matter in the following topic:

I respect your decision for whatever reason. I don´t use discord and no planning to give my phone number. Everythting good has an end. Thanks to all donors who give a key.
Not that difficult to infer at least some of the reasons behind this change. You build a better mousetrap though, you get smarter mice. At least you'll be able to exert finer control on things.

That said, all the best. No doubt someone may organize a new thread, handled differently entirely perhaps, maybe not.

@Tokyo_Bunny_8990 and @slurredprey, you're both very welcome and hope you're going to have lots of fun.

As for the closing of the GOG Community GA - sad to see this long standing institution of ours end; all good things come to an end.

A big cheers to every single one of the many many donors, without you this GA wouldn't have lasted this long. Special mention to Doc0075 for his unparalleled generosity that kept refilling an almost dry well more than a few times.
Many thanks to all the hosts of it throughout the years, you've all done an amazing job devoting time and effort into offering great joy to myself and many others here.

So this is goodbye from me, as I don't use discord.

I am, however, looking forward to whatever form of a new GOG Community GA Doc0075 will come up with, and hopefully I'll be able to contribute to it in some small way.
Thank you Mortius1 and finkleroy for desu ex ;)

TIME TO AUGMENT MY VISION AGAIN!!

Just an FYI...

To those who have partaken a lot of the giveaway... and who a few extra dollars... this might be a good time to look over Finkleroy's wishlist and express some thanks...

... or at least keep this in mind next sale.

I really think his work over the years needs some acknowledgement. It certainly isn't a easy job.
