The poster probably did not take into consideration the requests that haven't been granted, even if yours is already guaranteed to be granted the game you wish (knowing you were the first and all). Doing so would add more burden on the poster. That said, it can definitely lead to the later posters to be misinformed by the current availability of games that can be requested and left bewildered the moment they realize that they have been beaten to it in their request.
