I'm also a bit of a lurker who only posts sporadically at best.
So, is it kosher for me to request Terraria?
I didn't see anything against just asking in the OP, but in the last page or two of the thread all I really see are nominations, so my paranoid senses are tingling.
Never anything against asking, but with the exception of the games included in the current "bestsellers contest", this is for the active community (not counting any posts in giveaway threads), and since you say you're mostly a lurker... It's moon's decision whether you fit that or not.
That "bestsellers contest", to find homes for codes that expire and a few others that nobody who'd normally be eligible seems to want, is why you see the flood of nominations now. Not that nominations don't make up the majority at all times, but especially now. That doesn't mean anything though, a request and a nomination are treated exactly the same. Nominating someone ineligible doesn't make them eligible, requesting when you are eligible doesn't make you ineligible, and neither gets priority above the other, it's first-come-first-served.
