Oh people - that is NOT typical German. It's bavaria (don't know why they are part of Germany but they are totally different from the rest of Germany - not that there's anything wrong about it).

Yes, but I KNOW that I could expect those hats nearly ONLY in Texas. Most americans unfortunately think that most German do look like bavarians in their folk clothes (not even bavarians do look this way all the time) that is what I think is a bit sad.
