gunsynd: Yeah sugar is easy to beat,if you can beat drugs, tobacco and grog then sugar should be a snack....
Used to have 3 teaspoons of sugar in tea and coffee, gradually dropped down to 2 then 1 now none...
Been smoking for many years and never tried to give them up because I enjoy them.I know while that's in my
head,I'll never give them up...
If you can't beat sugar then I reckon your not trying hard enough, cut it down gradually and you will do it..
I don't think so, I have a really strong sugar addiction since my childhood (age 0). I can easily stop eating sugar or products containing sugar for one week. But after that period I'm going crazy (fruits, grain doesn't help). Used to have 3 teaspoons of sugar in tea and coffee, gradually dropped down to 2 then 1 now none...

Some *scientists* even claim that sugar is an opiate, meaning it affects your opioid receptors in brain releasing quite amount of dopamine and happiness.
Some doctors suggest to consume Chrome in order to stop this addiction. However I use Chrome on daily basis and it doesn't help at all, just eats my RAM :)))
I haven't thought I have this addiction before I read articles and decided to exclude it from my life. The same history is with porn, it's everywhere and it's okay, but should you stop and then your mind goes astray!
P.S. As for the tea, I stop adding sugar for about 20 years, it's not a problem. I'm talking about cookies, candies, ice creams, march-mallows, marmalade, chocolate and other yummy stuff.
