dtgreene: A certain social media site (which, fortunately, I am not on) just changed their policies to explicitly allow hate speech.

(I've seen some examples of statements that are explicitly allowed there. I will not be posting them here, as I believe they'd be against this forum's rules against hate speech.)
I get blamed for being insensitive, so having the extra leg room would help me. As for other people, yeah, they're "taking the piss".

It's like what Groucho Marx would say "I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member."

Being in a hateful mob should send red flags. It always gets out of hand. It only looks to exclude. And who need that? I'm online. Not back in high school. With my nervous system attached to everyone's thoughts. I'm quite alright hiding until it's safer to rule.

It's not just a little "extra leg room". It's more along the lines that they gave explicit examples of hate speech, ones that are bad enough that they're unlikely to be said by accident, and explicitly said they're allowed.

Again, they're bad enough that, if I were to post them here, a mod would be justified to come in and forcibly edit or delete this post, and possibly even give me a warning.

To put it another way, it would be as if a club explicitly allowed violence with deadly weapons against certain other members of the club.

In the meantime, there's also things that are grounds for deletion on that social media site that really shouldn't be, and that's sometimes resulted in non-hateful posts being deleted and accounts banned for them with no recourse for making them. (Apparently, AI is handling moderation duties, and if an appeal gets made, it also gets handed off to AI. This is the sort of thing that AI should *not* be used for.)
I have a rather bad pressure headache and had one the day before. What a great start to the month of fenty, bleh!
