Sachys: dont blame the dogs, blame the owners (or lack of ownership / ability to care for a dog properly).
those things pretty much torture the dog. the dog most likely barks because its owners are shit.
the rooster would be far more ethical and efficient.
plus you can take it for walks and have it terrify people. ;)
Oh I absolutely blame the blasted owners. Not once have I seen them taking the dog for a walk, which I think is big part of the problem. They've also been informed of the problem by multiple neighbours, but they just don't care.
Unfortunately I'm renting, and I couldn't have asked for better landlords. They have a no-pet policy though, so I don't think a rooster is an option xP
Sachys: thats pretty normal.
for me im constantly battered by the sounds of building work (that has no planning permission), HGVs (that shouldnt be on this street) and a neighbour that has an obsession drilling at odd hours.
ive simply chosen to eventually become a comic book villain. :D
Ever tried a noise cancelling headset? Something that works splendidly is my sony xm3 headset I bought earlier in the year when the demon's barking became too much. If I have it on and am listening to some light music then I'm unaware of the neighbour's demon dog.
It's pretty expensive though, but I view it as an investment in my sanity. If only I could sleep with them too :(
