ssokolow: The funny thing is, though I take pride in never pirating anything (I own over 3200 games, over 1000 books, etc. Why would I need to?), I'm agonizing over it in this case, because they tricked me out of $50 on the impression that I'd get non-worthless keys for TBS2 and TBS3.
GR00T: Understandable. But I also feel that piracy isn't the proper response here. It just gives them incentive to go more draconian down the road. I'd just say 'Fuck You' to anything Stoic is involved in from now on until and unless they come to their senses. Money talks, and all that rot.
*nod* Intellectually, I know they're not worth losing the moral high ground. That's why, so far, my approach has been to...
1. Not redeem the Humble "carrier key" for the Steam keys at the risk that, some day, they may release a DRM-free copy through Humble and my key may have expired.
2. Continue waiting for a Better Business Bureau response
3. Continue looking for ways to drag their name through the mud
4. Hype myself up about playing more Undertale and buying Stardew Valley (first digital download I'll ever pay full price for) as soon as my degree project is finished. (Plus, the marathon of King's Quest, Quest for Glory, Quest for Infamy, etc. that I already had planned)
