Alaric.us: A thread that says Soon doesn't violate any of the forum rules, is not offensive and should not be deleted. Period.
If you would like to see some posts that do in fact violate the rules, look no further than this thread.
My JerkMuter thread did not violate any rules either. It was deleted. Same for JerkMuter 2.0 six months later.
Neither does a Korean bot that posts about Bamwar really, but we deleted those too, because they were spam.
Maybe deleting the thread was a little much, but are you going to claim it had a point?
There are many posts that violate the rules, some get deleted, some don't. That's probably largely down to the reputation of the people who post them.
But it wasn't deleted because of that. It was deleted because of Tauto and Kleetus spamming, and using it as a platform for spamming.
Your attitude certainly didn't help matters, but I don't think it was the contributing factor.
I'm not sure about the second one, I can't say I noticed it.
The forum is broken. We all know that. We've always known that.
Gog do not have the resources to fix it. I've offered my help to them, as I'm sure others have, but it's not a priority to fix.
As far as I can tell, the people who built it are gone and no one knows how it works properly any more so it will be a pretty big task to fix it up or replace it.
We can complain as much as we like, spam as many threads as we like. Nothing is going to happen.
I trust fables when they say they are trying, but it's down to programmer man hours and Gog doesn't have enough of them.
All your thread has done is deepen divisions between the community, and let anyone who didn't already know that is was possible to delete threads and how to do it.
