vulchor: I'm really surprised that, even with a 90% discount, Trine 2 isn't flying off the shelves like I thought it would be. The game is beautiful (never played it, as I'm not that into platformers, but I picked it up just now).
Not just beautiful (though it certainly is that), but also a heck of a good platformer (with mild puzzle aspects). I picked 2 up in a Humble Bundle a long while back, played a little bit of it, and immediately decided I needed to grab up the first one as well. Played through 'em both, enjoyed the hell out of 'em.

vulchor: The difference being that Firefox offered a choice. Because Silverlight is a plugin, you didn't have to use it. Now that the code is built in, people won't necessarily know that the content they're playing is using DRMed proprietary code, even worse because if they're using Firefox they might be inclined to believe that it's not based on Mozilla's reputation of being open-source.
Good point. But then Mozilla said that this is also optional:
Each person will be able to decide whether to activate the DRM implementation or to leave it off and not watch DRM-controlled content.
Completely unrelated and creepy - it's past 05:00am here and someone just rung twice on my doorbell.

And getting back to the spirit of this thread, I just have to comment on a couple of posts of way earlier, so here I go:

bluey83: So I've just spent the last 20 minutes reading several pages of this thread, thinking my everyone has got very chatty suddenly how can I possibly be this far behind .... to realise that for some reason GOG thought it would be funny to put me back to page 255!

And I thought those posts seemed familiar LMAO

Tarnicus: HAHA! Did you feel like you were experiencing deja vu?
avatar
bluey83: lol yes but was very curious for a while why people were complaining about Time Commando still being up for sale .... :P
Hilarious, almost got my apple-juice zip out my nose! ;-)

IAmSinistar: You can't leave, you're literally the only person who wants that game.
Xd - will you people let me drink my apple-juice in peace? ;-)

Tarnicus: I'd tell that story in the pub and watch every guy (and some girls!) squirm and then offer to show the scar to any girls that showed disbelief. I didn't go there but had fun offering and watching the expressions people responded with :)
Sooo, if one would take you up on your offer would you go for a public demonstration? ;-P
Speaking of 3.5" floppy disks. I still have my old disks for Settlers 1 and Civilization.

avatar
txdm000: how do you guys know whats coming? is sam and max any good?
I took a guess :p There are more titles starting with "Sam and Max" in the remaining games, lol.
Anyone has a code for Trine 2 they don't want?

Nth to see here, please proceed to purchase a fine game from the Spring Insomnia Promo, and if you're lucky enough you might even get it for free ;-)

EDIT: everything's fine now, but I'm still too tired ;-P

For real, I'd have bought it already if the game was in the graphics. I've watched it in action though, and I hate games where the physics is the game. Pushing over logs and tossing things at other things is only slightly more interesting to me than Myst and MS Solitaire, and in that order.
Crap, am too tired to wait for Painkiller or Etherlords 2 any longer. Maybe I'm lucky and the next one will keane for the next few hours... ^^
I still have my win 3.1 install disks

I had heard nothing be great things about the first game. I'm excited to give Trine 2 a try, which I certainly was not going to do for $20, not being a fan of the genre and all. But maybe I'll love the game, an then buy the first one full price? That's what's great about these sales, they give you the excuse to step out of your gaming comfort-zone.

I'm pretty sure I've got Duke Nukem 1 & 2 on 3.5" around here somewhere.

I'm not into platformers either but games like Braid and Trine have introduced me to a genre that I suck at but they are works of art :)

011284mm: I guess up next is Theme Park.
Hope this is the case - would give me a chance to snatch something else off the wish list before I have to turn in.

Not the one of the main ones I wanted, but any success cutting this giant list down is a good thing.
To be perfectly honest, this has got to be the best online community that I have managed to find. I know I'm new around here, but I've seen several members try to answer every question they can, even if the question has been asked before. I've also seen more generosity here than I have anywhere else, even on the whole subreddits dedicated to gifting games. Thanks for all the help so far, and thanks in advance for any more help that I may or may not need during the sale.
Greetings, thread. I just woke up for the day. What number are we on right now? Is anyone keeping a list of the "last chance" round?

(edited for spelling)
