This is the official thread for reporting suspicious activity on the forums. If you see any bots breaking the rules by spamming, advertising, posting shady links to weird websites - report them here! Moderation Team will do their best to keep such posts to a minimum but, as you might imagine, it's impossible to keep an eye on every single thread 24/7. That's why we need your help, anti-spam force! :)

Big kudos to everyone who created and contributed to the unofficial thread!

Only report bot accounts/spam in this thread. Its purpose is not to report other users. If you see a user who you believe is breaking the rules, message Staff privately instead.

Is anyone still working at GOG's moderation?

Edit: Obviously yes. The second after I made this post, the recent spam was deleted. All the stuff from the weekend is still there though.

Which will encourage further bots since having their crap on legitimate sites to pop-up higher in search engines is the goal. They're not trying to advertise to us specifically. So by leaving it there, it is a success for the spammers and will encourage them to do it more.

JackJones72 necroed a thread to share its spam.

Incidentally they posted near another bot's old spam so while the moderators are at it they can get rid of it too.

Back when spam was rampant, i'd considered (were i handling the forum code) that any thread topic that had 9 or more digits in it would likely automatically be flagged as potential spam.

Seems that would have been the right choice.

Still pages of spam starting on page 5 for me. GOG, just because it's not in the front tpage, you'll want to clean that up, or it will encourage more.
