Shadow Warrior 2 - A Dozen Hot Minutes of Action
Wow... It seems Flying Wild Hog finished another great FPS project.
As someone who has only played part of the first, and a long while ago, I have to say it looks just like its predecessor. Which isn't a bad thing, just saying - did anyone more familiar with Shadow Warrior spot any new elements?

I could be wrong, but all the enemies, weapons and powers so far look new.

Levels do look similar and the "There's someone inside Wang's head" theme is nothing new.

All said, I AM looking forward to this game. :)

Honestly, isn't more wang all we really need? ; )
co-op is new, which actually might be fun as hell.

A freely explorable open world with no invisible walls as opposed to the linear progression of SW2013, greater movement options including parkour and massively expanded melee combat with multiple weapon types are the first things I noticed.

It's just a shame the thing inside Wang's head this time is far less likeable than the original.

Shadow Warrior 2 goes even more over the top with co-op action
'Procedurally generated' is a phrase that always concerns me. In my experience, and according to my personal taste, it usually means the developers have forgone something else for the sake of this trending gimmick. I'm sure this new game will appeal to the everything-must-be-open-world fanatics.

As long as the core game remains the same as before I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Keep in mind, the previous game was successful even though it was linear.
The co op part has me worried, otherwise I'm all for this.

Edit: Health bars feel off.

Interesting, thanks! Thanks for the links as well!

Yeah, I'm sceptical about that phrase, too, but we'll see. Could also be good, if it's not overdone and just supplements proficient level design instead of replacing it.

What I'm most concerned about is if the Linux version will be available here... it's definitely coming to Linux but its entry in the upcoming list here only says Windows. It wouldn't be the first time that a cross-platform game has been marked as Windows only while in the upcoming list, but considering GOG's record of failing to provide the Linux versions of cross-platform games (especially bigger releases such as this)...
I have a strong feeling this time we'll get Linux version at release.
And perhaps I've mentioned in my [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_technomancer]other thread

Normally I would agree with you, but it's only certain parts of the world that are PG here, and it's used for immersion. This game's world is set when the boundary between the human and demon realms are breaking down and fusing together, so it's in constant flux... so having some areas be randomized in terms of terrain, weather etc helps with that feeling of instability.

Dunno about the game, but that parallax scrolling comic book style introduction on their website is bleedin' fantastic.

I'm not sure gog has all the data yet about that. Remember there is also a mac version there that is also not listed on the gamepage. But gog definitely needs to deliver at least one bigger release linux version.
