Nice, thank you GOG!

Matruchus: Never heard of this. What is this similar to gameplay wise.
Huh, hard to tell ... is like a mix between action-RPG (Diablo, Heretic: Shadow Kingdoms etc.), a bit of real-time strategy game (Warcraft 1 & 2, especially graphics) and many RPG elements (items, ugrpades and similar).

And maybe there is also a bit of Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain (the first 2d isometric game).

tinyE: They look TBS but I'm guessing from the above comments they aren't?
They are not. RoM2 is an RPG, though it does have an RTS interface (move, attack, attack-move, defend, guard, stand ground, patrol etc). You can also group characters (your heroes, any mercenaries you may have hired and any units that may be helping you) with the usual ctrl-# and recall them with #, but there's no base building or soldier recruiting in the wild.

Feel free to ask questions about RoM2, will do my best to answer you.

Grargar: Or the islands were always evil, which explains why the mages became angry.
Makes sense too. But mages are not exactly the nicest kind of people, so I expect the worst.

NOT TBS?

Far out, to the wishlist I shall add, maybe even purchase today. :D Might snag that bundle too; Evil Islands is calling me.

tinyE: NOT TBS?
Not TBS. RoM2 has quite a few speed settings, from "Slower than syrup" to "So fast it hurts", while Evil Islands has "paused", "normal", "double speed" settings. No idea about Rage of Mages, haven't played it yet.

Be aware that those are games from Nival Interactive, so be prepared to die. A lot.
Wow, I'm pleasantly surprised. I played the demo of a game several years ago and I was looking for it ever since. Either it's one of these or they look A LOT alike. Thanks GOG.

Now, to buy or not to buy, that's the question.

Crosmando: What's the deal with the "Multiplayer interface" thing in the extras?
Nival's servers for playing this game online are down now. Therefore some Russian fans made their own servers to play online. They released that software to allow you to connect to their servers as well as patch some exploits in the game.
Wow. This is a big part of my childhood. Superexcited about them finally showing up on gog.

But I'm waiting for the Warhammer bundle. Gog. Warhammer bundle? Pls?
I certainly didn't expect to see these! Very nice surprise.

Let me also say that this site proved really helpful while playing RoM2. Too bad the RoM part of it isn't as good :/
Now we are only missing DayWatch and NightWatch and Nival will have all their games here (at least the ones that are in english).
Wasn't there a field on the games page saying when the game was added to the GOG catalogue? I am not seeing it on any of the games.
Original Allods on GoG! Can't believe my own eyes.
:O Unbelievable release!
Nice one, gog!
