Sabin_Stargem: There is also DOOM 64. Despite the awful naming scheme and console exclusivity, the game is actually the third Classic DOOM game. Through the use of the source port DOOM 64 EX, the game can be comfortably played on the PC.

DOOM 64 EX - review
I've added the wishlist entries of each to my original post. Thanks!

Oh man, I recently replayed that on my N64, awesome game. The controls weren't actually that bad either.
Does anyone know how to get the Master Levels working with GZDoom?

Huinehtar: Raah, it's like I litteraly heard the voice from UT for the first word!
Blasphemy!
:D

F4LL0UT: But... "impressive" is from Quake 3. o_O

I wonder if you said "blasphemy" because you "heard" the wrong voice or just because you confused where "impressive" is from.
Yeah, I figured it out later.

Still ashamed for the confusion...

You can try Master Levels for Doom 2 patch, which can be found here.

I tried Doom on PC when I was a kid but never finished it, but I played the N64 version and it was great, even if I had the feeling it was less gory than the pc version.

Barry_Woodward: Quake III: Arena (1999)

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (2007)
Quake III: Arena would be wonderful on Galaxy. :)

I'd love to play ET: QW again but doesn't it need servers? Ah Well that can possible be fixed. :)

How about Commander Keen?

Is it not a case of copy and pasting the WAD file?

darthspudius: Is it not a case of copy and pasting the WAD file?
It's... complicated. Each of the stages has its own wad file and they all require Doom 2's wad, as well, to run.

mistermumbles: what's the real difference between Final Doom and Ultimate Doom?
Ultimate Doom is original Doom 1 + an extra 4th "Thy Flesh Consumed" episode. Final Doom is the name given to 2x WAD files "Plutonia" and "TNT" that are sold as an expansion pack to Doom 2.

You really need a source-port to play these if only to add in mouse-look and modern gaming resolutions / widescreen support. Two of the most popular are:-

GZDoom:-

Surely not the first to ask, but can we hope to see Heretic and Hexen as well? (fingers, toes, and....etc. crossed)
So Quake doesn't have any music due to "licensing" or whatever. I can't get it to work properly at all. If you can't get the game to work out the of the box don't sell it. >_<

Not even the dos version with the CD images? And what if you encode said images to ogg and use them in the Windows version, still no music?
