hedwards: My response was "holy fuck" followed by a dropping my jaw in a very literal way.

I can't believe that you guys managed to get these games here.
Yes I was just telling my wife Yesterday that ID sells there stuff on Stream and it would probably never be on GOG ( yesterday was my birthday ) and here it is today. So this is cool.

That means there is a good chance we will see Quake2 here shortly. My two favorite games were Duke 3D and quake2 back in the days.

now I play Don't starve, and Legend of grimrock

Matruchus: Can't wait for Doom 3 non BFG version.
Yes! GOG needs to get Doom 3!
FPS shooter games were never my thing, although there have been exceptions for me in the past. Might pick up the bundle just to thank Bethsoft for coming to their senses and joining the DRM free revolution.

And I would definitely buy Commander Keen if it comes here

gandalfnho: Hope Wolfenstein and Heretic are next!
Oh man Heretic with the high def add-on. loved it
Now we really need a Quake II that has the soundtrack working without the original CD. :)
Okay. Today is the day somone has to come out with the truth. DooM is known to be a FPS, right? Wrong.
Actually DooM is a RPG. Yeah you've read right, a RPG!
I know that sounds weird but let me explain why: Because you can play the game in various roles. You don't believe that? Here comes the proof, you can play as:

- Athlete: Speed running. Set a new record for each track!
- Looter: '100%' is the word! Try to find and get all weapons, ammo & stuff!
- Scientist/Physician/Geologist: Research & experience teleportation/radioactive sludge/hellish lava!
- Theologist: 'Discuss' your belief with the devil himself (in various appearances)!
- Investigator: What has happened on the moons?!
- Lumberjack: Self-explaining...
- Maniac: Using only your pistol!
- Hardcore maniac: Using only your chainsaw!!
- Completely insane hardcore maniac: Using only your fist!!!
- Trump: Can you find and kill all the 'lifeforms'?
- God: Because IDDQD...
- Pacifist: Even that! Nope, just kidding.

Doom II + Brutal Doom mod. Wow. WAY harder than Doom I.

Check my screengrab. That was one room. One room.

FINALLY!!!!!!!

But where is Quake 2?
Really glad these games made its way here.

Now, to turn off the pesky ability of not being able to gift certain games would be fine...
It will be interesting to go back and play these "pure". Been spoiled by ZDoom. :)
Despite muh backlog from the summer sale, I gotta grab DOOM 1 at least, to show support. Then I'll snag something (ZDoom perhaps?) for mouselook.
This is why I fucking love GOG.com!

Even though all of my hope for ID games to be on GOG whittled away long ago this news hit me harder than a BFG to the face. Can't wait for my paycheck to buy TES and ID FPS bundles since I already own the FO bundle. There is newfound hope for all Quake games to appear on GOG.com at this rate.

Frostyfirefly: Now all we need is Heretic and Hexen :-)
OH Yeah!
I have never actually bought the original DOOM. Only played the shareware. It's about time I tried the real deal.

tinyE: Loving life here. Just got the package and I am ashamed to admit that Quake 1 is the only Quake game I've never played, and after 30 minutes I have to say I'M REALLY REALLY IMPRESSED. Glad I picked up Doom, but there is a lot of nostalgia there whereas IMHO Quake 1 still stands as an all around solid shooter. It looks good and sounds great.

Of course I'm a tad biased now because the newer Quake games are easy to play whereas Doom has turned into a DRM nightmare.
Quake...
It have one of the best level designs, controls/movement/gameplay and enemy designs I know of. I'ts pure hardcore adrenaline rush FPS action. :D
