While I'm not personally interested, thanks for the freebie. :) Apologies for looking a gift horse in the mouth but I'd really like for a freebie/freeware release that is higher up on the wishlist (maybe for the next Good Old Games sale or Christmas)

Since I read the history about the Berlin wall, I'm quite interested in know how democratic people lived under the URSS rules, I think this game will be tough, but I will play it anyway. Thanks!

We wrote to Solidarność for permission to use the logo in the game, but never got a response :/

Well, you could also write to GOG, to get a developer account. That will put your comments in orange, which will make them stand out. :)

Btw: don't worry about the use of Solidarność (or rather the lack thereof) - we all know history nonetheless.
I will simply use my imagination. :)

Wouldn't it be a case of fair use? Free game, portraying historical events for educational purposes should be enough to justify that.

Apparently, yes, but there have been several lawsuits, plus there is currently a fight between the author of the logo and Solidarność, so we didn't want to take any chances.

As a developer, they will grant you the ability to post in orange font.
