Hi, I seem to have downloaded the game all fine on PC with GOG Galaxy but after launching the game and immediately after the intro sequence, I am asked to press a certain button to continue - the problem is that I have no idea which button that is as the button (or icon) does not correspond to any on my keyboard. Anyone else having this bizarre problem?! They want me to press a button which does not exist to continue! What on earth is going on?!

Have you tried pressing the "any" key?

"Any" key? Which button is that on the keyboard? It looks like the " [ " or " ] " button on the keyboard except that it's horizontal - that is the button the game asks me to press in order to continue but there isn't any such key that exists on the keyboard!

That seems to have worked but they really should have made it clearer - I do not think that it is common knowledge that that is the spacebar icon.

⎵ is the commonly used symbol for spacebar. Glad you got it figured out.
