yyahoo: *Loved* the original version. Would really like to support the dev by pre-ordering, though considering how long this has been in development, I'm a little hesitant. Perhaps once an actual release date is announced, I'll jump in.

Edit: Okay, now that I've watched the trailer, I see that the release date is supposed to be on the 26th (don't know why GOG isn't mentioning that anywhere themselves). Will definitely pick it up before release day and recommend any old school platform "metroidvania" lover do the same.
No, in a post dated today (Jan. 5), the game's official site says February 7th is the release date.
English only? I was glad to find different translations for TAG on the devs website. Maybe this will be the case for this one as well. Anyway, glad to see this on GOG.

Robit Games, I love you: Treasure Adventure Game is my favorite Metroidvania platformer.

Already changed since the YouTube trailer was made, which was kind of my original concern. Hopefully this date sticks.

Neat. It'll also release within about two weeks of Iconoclasts. :)
I have a very different taste in graphics and prefer the old version. But good news for some.

Is that 10% vs. 5% discount some kind of cleverness test or mini adventure game to get the adventure game? :)
I'm sceptical about the visuals too, but I think they win a lot when seen in the trailer (fullscreen) instead of just the screenshots.
One of the few games I backed during development, years ago. Took a while, but it's good to see they didn't give up and managed to finish this project. I wonder if backers will receive a copy on GOG... ?

Fairfox: tHIS... LOOKS ADORB?

an' yet I kno nothin' about it. Hmmmmmmmmmmm.
Just try out the free old version of the game. Should still be available here on GOG. It's basically a 2D interpretation of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. ( It seems heavily inspired by it, in any case. )

"Which you can and should grab for free"
Done! *looks* Oh I already own it.
As much as I enjoyed Treasure Adventure Game, I'll probably not spend my time on playing the remake. If it was a real sequel I'd give it a clear go. However, looking at the trailer, Treasure Adventure World is indeed quite close to the original. The good news, that'll make it a pretty nice game for a lot of peeps.

That's good, though. You get to enjoy it for the first time, whether you start with the free version or the remake.
A. Is this a sequel or a remake?

B. Any word on an actual release date? I'm STILL waiting on Ys VIII, and am hesitant to make another pre-order...
Loved Treasure Adventure Game, I'm definitely looking forward to this one.
