Exploring unfamily-ar territory.

Paws: A Shelter 2 Game, the stand-alone journey of a young cub looking for its way home, is now available for pre-order for Windows and Mac, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% pre-order discount, and an additional 10% off for owners of any Shelter game.

You are lost. You are tired. Your tummy is making some funny rumbling noises. It's snowing heavily now and the occasional rustling from the nearby bush makes your hair stand up uneasily. Thankfully, your mother has taught you well. Nature often seems chaotic, inconsiderate, wild. But so are you, for you are part of it. Putting one paw after the other, you manage to reach the next clearing. Tomorrow will be another day, the day that you make a new friend, and you will have to put on a brave face for the sake of each other's survival.

Paws: A Shelter 2 Game tells the standalone tale of a lynx cub which gets separated from her family. She must now fend for herself, putting into use all the valuable lessons her mother taught her. Thrown too early into this beautiful but perilous world she will have to seek shelter, hunt for food, and survive the dangers of the wild. But she is not alone. During the journey, an unlikely friendship will blossom between the baby lynx and a young bear, as the two animals bond against the hardships of living away from home.

Pre-order Paws: A Shelter 2 Game and discover a bittersweet tale about family, friendship, and loss, DRM-free on GOG.com. If you long for the mellow soundtrack and the interactive book The Lonesome Fog, be sure to pick up Paws: Pitter Patter Edition instead. The discounts will last until the game's release.

Pre-ordered. I'm comfortable pre-ordering in this case, given the good track record of the devs with games in this series. And it sounds just so dang sweet!
Oh my god, that's so adorable!

Even though it's not pandas. :P
For some odd reason, Shelter never appealed to me much. Don't know why, maybe it's the artstyle that I don't like very much or the actual gameplay? I don't really know but seeing one Shelter game after another getting released (by the way, I find the latest game's title name great!), there has to be something good about them, right?
Linux version?
It looks like and Eric Carle picture book. ʕ´•ᴥ•`ʔ
Paws off my honey or I will bee angry.
Why is it called "Shelter 2" game?
Is it a DLC? A standalone game?

If the latter, why "2" in the name?

A standalone game.

Because in Shelter 2 you play the mama lynx and in this you're a lynx kitten. So it's a spinoff of 2.

Wonderful. Another "please-buy-this-before-the-user-reviews-come-out" discount. Clearly neither you nor the devs believe the game will actually be worth the asking price.
The fuck?
I really liked the first game and the second is on my "to play" list. Hopefully the game is a bit longer than the first.
