Nope. Never cold get into either band. I like metal.... just not there "brand" of it. I'm more a fan of Iron Maiden, Faith No More, Evergrey & Anthrax's forms of metal. I don't really care too much for the Nu-Metal sound.... thats not to say that I don't like some of each band's material, just not enough to consider myself a fan.

I should also note that I am also a fan of Punk, Rock, Rap, Reggae, R&B, etc...

The way I see it, I've got nothing to hide. I'm not exactly the prettiest dude around, but I'm not so ugly that I have to hide behind a fake picture.... & before you ask.... that isn't a shot at anybody & I don't know if any of you are ugly are not. That is just my personal philosophy & part of something I was taught by the shrink I went to when I was suffering from depression & lack of self confidence. Never hide who you are & always act as you are.... words I live by.

I've always thought it pretentious to parade around with your own picture as an avatar. The whole "nobody wants to see your ugly mug, especially people who don't like you" thing. I've seen too many admins and self-important project leaders doing that. As much as I'd love to see my pretty little face on all of my posts, I'm sure at least one person would find it annoying...

I still have a lot of depression myself these days, but I don't lack confidence. I used to want people to like me, or even love me, but then one day, I just realized that not only was that unattainable, but then it came to me. "You know what? If people liked me, I don't think I'd like myself anymore. I'm beginning to think I legitimately hate people". It does wonders for your self-esteem, and horrors for your reputation with others!

Of course, if it's about not hiding who you are, well, I can't very well tell you what to do, now can I?

I watched from 1977-2006, I saw a huge evolution in the product. I followed it religiously for most of that time, but around 2004 or so my interest started dwindling. I still love what I loved about it, but its changed too much by now for me to still enjoy it. Still, I respect the hell out of the physical talent, training, and punishment "the boys" go through to entertain us, entertain themselves (lets face it, they're fans as well), and make a few bucks while doing it.

Watch indie promotions... ROH, Chikara, Dragon Gate USA, (Older) IWA Mid-South. Your love will be renewed. I'm thinking about trying out for IWA Mid-South myself soon (It has launched the careers of many of its Alumni into orbit). It would actually work out quite nice for me because it is now based in Louisville which is about a 1 1/2-2 hour drive (as opposed to the other major indie promotions which are literally states away). Maybe I can bring back some notority to the promotion (yeah right lol). The way I see it.... if I win a World Title (even an indie one) in my career, I can die a happy man. You may say.... well its fixed so why would the belt mean anything tyo you... its just a prop. To a wrestler though, it is much more than that... it shows that the promoter has faith in you to carry the company at that particular time period. I can't imagine anything more important than that at this point in my career.
