revanbh: I have to disagree. This is one of the friendliest communities on the internet. People are helpful and courteous. Not to mention charitable. You get games with no strings attached and no hoops to jump through. That is a rare thing indeed. And it's absolutely not true about older members not being accepting of newcomers. It's just that like in any new social circle, you have to get to know people better and they you. If you're "fresh off the boat" so to speak, and only participate in giveaway threads, that is bound to reflect poorly on your standing within the community. That's the case with everyone, not just newcomers.

Poke around various game threads, participate in discussions, help out if you can, be polite and people will reciprocate in kind.
