Skyehawk: I have run the DirectX June 2010 setup from a folder I created on my C drive. I have run the OBSE.exe multiple times, but it doesn't change a thing.
Dr. Mike this is the one I'm using: GOG build 1.2.0.416 (download the latest loader). I've confirmed that this is the game version I have. I do have one question though, if I'm using the Unofficial Patch from Nexus mods would that change my version?
Sorry, one more edit. Does the GOG version include the Official Patches for the DLC? Maybe I need to use the autopatcher on Silverlock to override the Oblivion.exe. ?
I can't check this at the moment as running a backup. However follow this mod list definition, it's great and has lots of information:
https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/47591/
You can download a zip file from:
https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/37952/?
Or their website. The zip file will contain several files and folders, copy the required files per the instructions which are all in the zip to your oblivion folder, it will either have a plugins folder under obse folder or will create one at runtime and this is an important folder as other plugins go in there. It's been.a while since I did this so a bit hazy, but I can check tomorrow. Note that this has Nothing to do with directx, you are on the wrong line there, you just need the files and copy them into you oblivion folder. Second you don't run obse straight off, get the wrye bash program (link in the list), install that and run obse from there with all your mods in order, and installed correctly.
Follow that mod list to the letter and you should have no problems it is and excellent guide.
