MarkoH01: I am torn. On the one side I am glad that the devs decided to bring Season 2 to GOG. On the other hand what they said before about how they are not even sure if they want to do this makes me wonder if the same thoughts will occur to them for Season 3 if there will be one (which is likely in these kinds of AVNs). So normally this would have been an instabought but this makes me hesitating.
Rotwanger: When did they say that? I saw them say several months ago that there would be a gog release but a bit delayed.
Also season 3 is already being made.
I asked them directly on their discord when I read here that devs apparently are not so sure about S2 on GOG:
Me: "I am confused. I purchased Lust Academy season 1 the moment it has been released on GOG after I could see that Lust Academy season 2 will come there as well
gog.com/en/game/lust_academy_season_2
Since GOG just have a big NSFW sale a guy was asking why Lust Academy season 2 wasn't released there and since I thought it was not finished, I told him so. Another guy then told me that it WAS in fact finished and released on Steam and that it does not seem as if the devs really aim to bring it on GOG at all. If that would really be the case I would be pretty disappointed since the upcomig release on GOG was part of the reaason why I purchased season 1 in the first place - since I knew the story would continue in season 2. So is it true that the game might not be released on GOG? If it is not true is there any ETA for"
Devs: "Hey!
Basically, we didn't like how gog worked for developers and overall sales. So for now I'm still thinking about releasing on gog.
If we will do release there, I guess it could be somewhere in August"
Me: "Thank you for your honesty. Is there anything I could forward to GOG (without telling from where it came) to make things better for you guys? Can't change the sales but GOG not working for developers sounds serious to me. I know quite a few devs and so far the only complaint I've heard is that it is sometimes tricky to push a new build. On the other hand there's another dev who does not seem to have any problems with that as well."
Devs: "Not really, but thanks for your worries
For us rn, it's better to focus on Patreon and steam, because these 2 platforms can generate sales for our studio"
I have now decided to support them and purchased the game because they gave me an hoest answer instead of some PR bull. I also thanked them for releasing it here, wished them better sales and expressed my hope to see S3 here as well when it is finished.
