There will always be people looking to take advantage of peoples generosity. It's just one of those unfortunate facts of life. Manic down-repping and counter up-repping and disagreements between long standing members on the forum isn't going to solve it. The only people who benefit from this situation are the leechers!
I think it can be difficult in some cases to determine if someone is a leecher or not. Yes, there are some extremely generous people who create giveaways on a near weekly basis, and there are some people who ask for something nearly every other day, but there are a
LOT of people who sit in the middle or don't appear in the list at all. And for those people in the middle it can be easy to mistake them for either group depending on when and how they post.
Now on a more personal note...
I know that this sentence is out of context so realise it is not to be taken at face value in the way I have snipped it.... teshra: The same group is within the first handful of entrants anytime a giveaway is made...
I seem to regularly be in the first page of entrants when a giveaway is posted
that I enter. I don't enter every giveaway, but if someone new to gog reads this they may believe that I was one of these leechers. I don't think that I am - you may think so and you are entitled to your opinion.
I'm not a regular gifter but I do regularly look at the non-gog gifting thread and give a game when I have one in my unused list. I post requests on this thread and 99% of the time don't receive anything but that doesn't stop me from still giving.
