Live action! Intro puts you straight into WL2's start.
I'm not quite keen on the voice though. The text is probably fine, but the voice actor sounds a bit too much like he's narrating a cheesy western.

Yeah, that was pretty good.
I like the video, except for the pretty bad lip-synching on Vargas. >_>
Started a new game, 7th time? not sure anymore lol
Played to AG centre only so can't really tell anything about the new areas. But do the weapons jam alot in this new build?
Wonder if they will ever full optimize the game for 32bit OS... Works fine on my other rig but this one is 32bit and even with everything turned low it crashes from time to time when loading save games or loading new area's. Discussed it with inXile in the past but meh, still getting these at the very early stages of the game (Ag Center & Highpool)

I like it a lot and I fine with the fmv approach. The only thing is that I was constantly waiting for Ron Perlmans deep voice. "War. War never changes..."

We'll do what we can and we will keep optimizing but 32bit continues to be a tricky point. Wasteland 2 is and will remain a memory-intensive games due to its large areas and the way Unity handles those, and 32bit OSs tend to deal poorly with memory-intensive games. We'll do what we can though.

Good to know, Cheers, I just wish I still knew where my 64bit OS disk was.
Freaking new awesome screenshot with the Scorpitron, probably one of the best screenshots to date.

Why do the Arizona locations in the current BETA build not look as awesome as the L.A. screenshots.

Holy hell I need wasteland 2.
Played quite a bit of the current build of the BETA over the weekend. Completed most areas and made it to the Canyon. Darwin Village feels very lackluster, I wonder if they're gonna put more stuff in? So much potential that could be made with Darwin Village just went down the drain. It's just one bland area atm.

I'm liking the new Supreme Jerk difficulty. Had to reload several times at Lupe Mine, had to use a couple of nades and kiting the enemies to "win", though it doesn't change the fact that the mine is just another minor area with a simple, non-involving quest. Also had to reload several times from the Prison RSM nade spamming guys. I'm forced to use flanking, kiting and positioning tactics this time round instead of just hit and killing everything in the previous BETA builds at Ranger difficulty. The robots own Angela in 1 hit this time round, not going back until I level up more.

Can't you just download it? I thought that for recent versions of Windows that they used the same key for 32bit and 64bit. Or, do you only have a key for a 32bit version?

Anyways, I'm looking forward to the game being released. I just hope that they can optimize it enough to run on my computer. I'm not sure I'm interested in waiting to play the game until I can afford to buy a new computer.

I'm waiting to play it until actual release, but seems like the scope is pretty limited in general?

Depends on the area. Darwin Village is considered a minor location in WL2 although it's definitely a major location in WL1. Major locations like AG Centre will probably take a couple or a few hours to go through. There's also Highpool, the Prison and Interior, Canyon and Temple of Titan, and Damonta in the current build, those are the major locations and if you include the minor locations you'll clock quite a number of hours to end the beta from start to finish, I'd say 30 if you're a completionist. I haven't done Damonta myself, looking forward to it. Arizona is around 40+% of the game? The other half L.A. will make up the for other 50+%, so the estimated ~50 hour gametime by inXile is most likely true. Although I can easily make it 70-80 hours for a single plathrough if i want to.

My problem with the beta so far is that some of the quests in certain locations are rather bland. They don't involve a whole lot other than being a glorified fetch or kill sidequests. There's nothing too compelling about them that makes you wanna explore something or finish to find out about the plot or backstory. You're told right at the start what to do and you just do it. Quite a number of locales that could have so much more potential, ends up being a 1-task sideshow. Of course, the major areas are more involving, the Canyon and Temple of Titan areas have alot more to them and have factions you align with. You have a choice to save both AG Centre or Highpool at the start of the game, and they have consequences, I've done AG Centre and Highpool like 3 times now since last year. I can't comment on Damonta yet. Whether you'll like the content in the the major areas is another thing though. For me, I have mixed feelings, I like some of them and I got issues with some. L.A. looks pretty darn awesome compared to Arizona from what screenshots and info they have released so far. Not sure how it compares but we'll have to wait for the final game to judge.
