*sigh*

Thirty hours into my heavily modded Fallout 3 and now I can't load my save. The game crashed last night and won't load anymore. I can load any old save if it's an interior location, but if I try to go outside... crash city. Oh well, guess I'll have to reinstall, remod and start over. I suspect it's a weather mod, as it crashed and froze a few times before, but it was always outside and always when there was a weather effect occurring (fog, sandstorm, etc.)

FRAK!

No real reason for posting this other than to vent some frustration.
Good luck! Heavy modding is a good way to screw up Bethesda's games, that's for sure. Well, and also to improve the hell out of them in the process. Try removing the Weather mod first. If the dependencies are not overly messy, you might just be able to keep going. It being a visual effect mode, you stand a reasonably good chance of being able to continue playing.

I seem to notice that everytime I install the Morrowind Overhaul 3.0 mod lets just say that if I have not launched the game in a LONG time and then launch it all I see in the game is nothing but black screen wtih the health bar on the side?

And I did not mess with anything related to the mod?

Could be a number of different reasons. In cases like this, I'd go to the mod's page (for example over at the Nexus http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/) and read about the known issues. You can also try to contact the mod's creator and report the bug / ask for advice.
I recommend you use JSGME in the future so you can disable mods to see if it solves your problem.
Are you using the current Steam version or the older GFWL version? My GFWL disc version got so buggy that I ended up uninstalling it. Same problem, load/save crashes.
My worst "fear" about mods.. O_o'
Something i have to wonder, have you tried loading it, then saving under a new slot, then loading that?

It may sound stupid but actually it's not. In morrowind and other Bethesda based titles, modding tends to add stuff/references to the saves, but if a mod for some reason is removed the save is considered 'dirty'. Cleaning it involves loading it (so it drops all unrelated unreffed items) and then saving that. Reloading makes sure it's nice and squeaky clean, well as much as it can be.

Alternatively if you can access the console you could look up the command and type it in to teleport somewhere safe, like a nearby city you aren't connected to; So if it's something broken in the current room (say a door reference pointing to null due to an error) that goes away, although for morrowind if you wanted to reset a room to it's original state (with items and references at default) you have to delete the room in the save.

Never heard of this. I'll have to give it a look.

Using the GOTY disc version.

I think you misunderstand: I can't load any of the exterior saves. I can, however, load an interior save (but that's a good hour or more before the latest few exterior saves that won't load at all). I get a black screen and the message "Fallout 3 has stopped working" when I try to load one of the outdoor/exterior saves.

Unless you're suggesting trying ond of the interior saves and seeing if I can go from there? I'll give that a shot, just to be sure.

Here is a link:

http://www.gamefront.com/files/21681483/JSGME.7z

It basically backs up any vanilla files that are overwritten by mods and you can enable/disable mods with the JSGME program. This does mean that it only works with mods that come as a collection of files and does not work with mods that come with their own installers, that is unless you can extract the files from the installers.
