[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

BlueMooner: Don't forget that Humble requires you to click their link before June 14, then go to your email and click that, then scroll to the bottom of the new Humble page, click to reveal the key, and THEN go to Steam to finally redeem the key, all before June 18.

I've lost out on more than one Humble freebie, not realizing I had a limited time to click everything, not just the first click.
It used to be that these codes don't actually expire (not immediatelly, or not at all) after being "hidden" in HB library, and you could totally have redeemed them afterwards on Steam, but it might be possible that they changed something in that regard.

what game did you try to redeem post the giveaway time and didn't work?
I have a bunch I didn't redeem yet and though these are safe to keep until... whatever, you say this is no longer the case?!

As an example:

Humble Bundle is giving away FREE copies of GRID 2 + Bathurst & Spa Circuits DLC for 72 hours in the Humble Store! This promotion is available from Thursday, March 14 at 10 a.m. Pacific time to Sunday, March 17 at 10 a.m. Pacific time (note: 2019)

My HB library says:
Grid 2
Steam Instructions
This key has expired and can no longer be redeemed
Steam will not provide extra giftable copies of games you already own.

The redemption deadline was March 21, 2019, 10:00:00 AM PDT.

IOW, there is a time limit to get a Humble key AND a separate time limit to redeem it (about a couple of days). Like I said, passing the first deadline won't save you from the second.

It's easy to miss this, which is why I gave a heads up for everyone to make sure they do ALL the steps to get Humble games, or they'll miss out.

The humble keys from giveaways still work after the deadline, but you need to have revealed and recorded it yourself. If you just leave it in your humble account and don't record it, humble won't show it to you.

To make sure I was correct about this, I just checked with the bomber crew key I got from the January 2021 giveaway. Checking the key in my Humble account shows "This key has expired and can no longer be redeemed", but since I had recorded the key in my own documents, I still had the key. I was able to redeem it on steam with no issues.

I suppose it is possible that humble has made a change in the last few months, but think it is unlikely they would go to the trouble of determining if revealed keys had been redeemed and invalidating those that had not been used. Does anybody want to test it with the surviving mars giveaway? I already redeemed my key for it, or I would hold off on the redemption for a couple of weeks and then test it.

Dead By Daylight game and DLC giveaways have been ongoing at Alienware Arena and SteelSeries for the last couple of days.
