[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

That being said, here you can find a post with dxenija's community poll to have better understanding of the situation: CLICK.

At the time of writing, open giveaway threads are:
- Massive Giveaways Blog (this one)
- Free (temporary) keys giveaway central topic.
- Updated Itch.io giveaways

Be nice to each other *flies away*

Keyless giveaway, done with connecting your GOG account to HumbleBundle. If you're like me and already have it on your GOG account you won't be able to get a gift-able code.

Same here.

Edit: I have it now. Go to your inbox and you should have an email from Humble. It takes you to a page to redeem your code.

PixelBoy: Not true.

All of those freebie games are games that you must usually pay to play, just search them on Steam, none of them is free there.

Freebies vs. showcase is somewhat illogical and confusing, but even there you can clearly see which games are freeware and which are giveaways. Freeware has the publisher name listed under the game title, but freebies have "galaFreebies" as publisher, not the actual publisher name. It doesn't make much sense, but they are clearly different from the rest.
First of all, I'm not comparing to Steam.

All the stuff on the Showcase page are all free. That's my main focus. This would make the Freebies page a glorified advertisement/gallery page for games that are actually already archived on Showcase, which is why even when you've obtained the games through the Freebies page, it shows up on the "Showcase" section on your library. They're not really giveaways, so this doesn't make sense to end up on this thread for it.

Games could be on multiple platforms and the scheme could be different, but my main point was that Indiegala maintains a freebies page while they're actually games which have been free for apparently all this time on that platform. If you're searching on Steam and they're not free, then you're talking about a different platform that Indiegala doesn't control the pricing in that context.

I just linked my account. Didn't see a code, and still got the game. Guess that's all taken care of.

FYI, it's just the standard edition, not the digital one. No goodies.

EDIT: If I'm wrong about the keyless aspect I apologize. Any further inquiries should be forwarded to Humble or GOG directly.
Yep, keyless, connect account and it immediately appeared here. Now wonder how bad it'll look if I'll immediately ask them to unlink the account...

Nope, still don't have it (although Humble thinks so).
I only got an email that I linked my account.

I had the same issue. It turned out I had to enable my profile on GOG (privacy settings) and make it visible for others (list of games). After this I requested game in Humble again and got it via email. I think Humble tries to check if you have this game already and if it cannot see your list at all it says that you already have it.
Hope it helps.

Thanks! That did it. My games list was visible to GOG users only.

Stupid error message by Humble really.
Stalingrad is the new Indie Gala freebie.

Is it possible? I'd like to know that before my own decision about linking.

Seems so, but unlike the other options (Battle.net, Steam, etc.) there is no option afforded to the user to do it themselves and you have to open a ticket with their support to get it accomplished.

Link your Gog account with Humble Bundle account, and redeem the game Seven (standard edition) .

Not to take this further off-topic but why is everyone so worried about being able to unlink your accounts? I keep all of my gaming accounts linked for things such as this and it's harmless, anyways. I understand if it was some shady or less-known games store but Humble is extremely well-known and reliable.

Just as a rule, I never connect accounts on different sites, never use those options to log in with Facebook or Google or what not on any sites except theirs and so on. It adds a however small but nevertheless non-zero element of risk for no real benefit. But more importantly than that, perhaps arguable, objective matter, it just adds to my anxiety, and definitely have no need of anything that does that.

I could understand doing that for the "Login from Facebook" sort of connection, but having your accounts connected for rewards and such doesn't seem to offer any risk that I can see. If I'm missing a security hole somewhere, though, definitely let me know so I can decide if I want to unlink my accounts too.
