Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

sloppyburger: look i haven't been paying attention to whatever squabble you're in the middle of alright, i just don't want to have to scroll through 8+ posts of tantrum just to check if there's any freebies. if you're so easily offended by opinions that don't align with your own then you need to learn some coping mechanisms. now i'll admit that my wants in all of this aren't really that important and certainly not important enough to continue engaging with your overwhelming "toxicity", all i ask is that you consider that maybe the admins are more well versed in the tos than you are? whatever the case, you do you.
Yes, it's blatantly obvious that you didn't bother to inform yourself about the subject in any way before forming an opionion about it. We've put up with these toxic trolls violating the forum's terms of service by abusing the reputation system for many, many years, and we're done putting up with it. The general discussion forum is for discussing topics. This is a fact, not an opinion. Every forum thread is about what the original post says it's for. This is a fact, not an opionion. GOG should enforce their own rules. This is a fact, not an opinion. This obviously is not a case of me not being able to cope with people having opinions that are different from mine.

It's clear that the vast majority of people who frequent these mass giveaway threads are sick of toxic trolls constantly violating the forum's terms of service by abusing the rep system. It's also clear that GOG flat-out refuses to enforce their own terms of service. At this point, the only thing that might have any effect on the situation is to start a petition. If enough people let GOG know that we expect them to enforce their terms of service and/or remove the rep system, perhaps at some point they will begin to take action. The baby tantrums and terms of service violations over people using the general discussion forum for discussing the topics of the threads in said forum need to stop once and for all.

There's nothing more to say regarding the matter. If you agree with what my petition says, please sign it. If you disagree with what it says, you need to leave the forum. Nobody wants you here. Go away.

From now on, everything everyone has to say about this topic should be said in the topic I created regarding the matter. I will not be posting anything more about it here, and I urge everyone else to follow suit. Thanks.

Moreover, the game is not out yet. And we don't know of the demo material will even be in game. It could even be exclusive content for all you know. There are many demos that are actually prequels or different than the finished game.
