Bumping with something that doesn´t belong here:
Somebody has to spam StoicStudios, the ones behind BannerSaga and tell them that it´s not O.K. to behold the translated versions of BannerSaga so long. Steam got them MONTHS ago...
Feel free to add the Bohemia Interactive thread concerning mostly Arma, but Take on Helicopters, DayZ and Carrier Command as well:

ARMA III and DayZ uses the Steamworks APIs for multiplayer game handling. They bowed to Steam due to the lengthy jailtime of the ARMA III dev guy in Greece. To make their goal to have it published on time, they used Steam as its framework.

To what I hear, the Steamworks API saves devs a ton of time when developing multiplayer components.

Anyhoots, probably a lot of effort for no payoff there, but quite likely worth the fight!

They could try using RakNet for multiplayer services. It's free and open-source.
Hopefully Galaxy will end up being just as easy as Steamworks for introducing multiplayer.

It'd be great if they hired an intern to swap out all that code and try to make it DRM free. From what I heard from them ages ago, it was a matter of time and market reach.
Regarding to Myst 3&4 and Ubisoft: https://twitter.com/cyanworlds/status/493776145603915776

Somebody can create a thread now or I'll try to remember to create one later this evening (for not just Myst but Albion and other classics we believe Ubisoft has the rights to): http://forums.ubi.com/forumdisplay.php/191-General-Discussion

-----------------

Part of me is also waiting to see what GOG's LA office can bring to fruition.

Out of curiosity, why Ubisoft has the rights to Myst 3 and 4 and not Cyan Worlds?

I believe Ubisoft has the rights to the game content (because they made it), whereas Cyan has the rights to the trademark/"Myst" name.

After seeing the post on r/gaming, I went ahead and created an XBox gamertag so I could post on Lionhead's forums: http://forum.lionhead.com/yaf_postst3430_Please-negociate-with-EA-and-GOG-com-to-bring-back-the-BandW-games.aspx

Also, if this counts (regarding the Dune games) ...
