Can someone help? i played Heroes 3 and then it suddenly crashed and now it wont launch again

hmm with a couple of mins to spare i installed the heroes 3 complete edition as found on gog.... it works marvelous! I'm also on win 11 but maybe i have something already installed that you maybe need?

also found another solution i'll be trying later on...

So, i have the Heroes 3 HD version on steam, and it seems you can copy the contents of gog's complete edition into the steam HD directory giving you access to everything .. in HD! seems to even work with the 'fan' campaigns
