This is probably my favourite 3D game of all. I've felt like a third playthrough for a long time, but I'm waiting because I'd prefer to play it on GOG now.
So, any chance L.A. Noire joins GOG's catalogue, or will this never happen?
I dunno, I feel Phoenix Wright would be the better game to aim for, but here's the wishlist entry.
I think that most likely, it's never going to happen. Rockstar launched their own DRM launcher last Fall, which only has a small very handful of games on it, of which La Noire is one.

If they start letting GOG distribute it, then they'd be undercutting themselves and making their launcher less desirable than it already is, even though it's already very undesirable since it has so few games on it.
Possible. We already have 2K Games here so Take 2 is not adverse to having titles on here, but I'm not sure how much autonomy individual Take 2 studios have. We see that R* games are distributed through Rockstar Social Club now but not other Take 2 properties.

I'm guessing that if we ever see R* games here, it'll probably start with the ones that are already available without online DRM on physical media (GTA 1-3, GTA London, Vice City, San Andreas, Manhunt, Max Payne 1-2, Bully).

After Diablo coming here, never say never but don't get your hopes up any time soon, we have 0 Rockstar games here currently.
I don't expect any Rockstar game to make it to GOG... especially since they released their own launcher.

As for LA Noire...

Although I think Mafia II is actually a better game (more fun to play) that uses most of the same 3rd person elements -- minus the investigations of course -- LA Noire does have an absolutely great soundtrack and atmosphere. I'm disappointed that Rockstar hasn't moved forward on a sequel.
L.A. Noire still uses GameShield even on Steam. Does not sound like a company who cares about selling their games DRM-free to you, sadly. They'd rather slap DRM on top of DRM.

It's strange Ripper hasn't come here. It's also from Take 2.
