If ours did, the two parties would have been liquidated a long time ago, including their corrupt leaders. But the American people have never shown that they deserved what the Founding Fathers gave to them, never showed any real appreciation for the value of freedom and liberty, and never stood up to defend it in it's hour of need. So it died, with very few even noticing, much less caring. So regardless of this election's outcome, we Americans very much deserve what we are about to get. And to the Republicans and Democrats who keep their heads deeply buried in their nether regions, I say this: you are the weakest of us, and the most worthless, and none shall mourn your passing.

You say that, yet the system your founding fathers introduced seems pretty much tailored for two parties and two parties only. In a parlementary system, even parties that don't end up with the top number of votes still have a chance of getting a seat at the table, so it's possible to vote 3rd or even 4th party and still end up having your choice represented in government. If the US had 4 or 5 equally viable parties people might feel more representated, but no presidential candidate would ever get to 270 and each president would be elected by the house of representatives on a 4-yearly basis. I really don't see your presidential election system working with more than 2 parties.

You're correct but the level of corruption at that point in time was far, far less, and the flaws of this system less damning. That republic was something worth keeping, something worth building upon. But it has long since died and been buried in obscurity, the final nail in the coffin being the assassination of Lincoln, and the "new world order" being ushered in by a gullible fool named Wilson.

At this point, the corruption is so great that the only viable solution I see is something along the lines of the lottery system used in ancient Greece. And it's possible that such a system would prove to be ideal.

If you haven't seen irrefutable proof, don't believe in it! Just because it makes sense doesn't mean its true. Have some higher standards for what and who you trust. Blindly trusting Alex Jones is just as bad as blindly trusting the mainstream media.
