This is very probably a big mistake. Politics is about living together. Having no interest in politics at all is like saying, I don't care about how we all live together. Doesn't seem a very reasonable approach to me, especially if many people do it.

That's an interesting way of describing politics, especially given that a lot of people are interested in anything but living together with others (especially those of other cultures/religions).

When people say politics they're referring to the political system of elected officials that do random shit and line their pockets and have only party interests in mind. They usually aren't referring to the idea of politicians doing the jobs they were elected to do (best serve the people through dialogue and awareness of citizen concerns).

You won't call an elevator that refuses to open it's doors because it's in need of repairs as 'works as intended'. Rather you'd demand they fix the damn elevator. I'm glad to see and hear reports that some things are pushing forward in the right direction, but there's a long ways to go.
