I'm sorry, but I'm afraid this game simply isn't niche enough.
The last time we saw a game that was supposedly going to bring back text adventures was with Cypher. It was a game with a great idea and a great concept, that suffered from a combination of extreme developer arrogance, and a broken text parser made by people with very little genuine understanding of English as a spoken language. To add insult to injury, promised fixes never came and the game was abandoned by its developers.

We'll see how Code 7 fares. Right now, there's very precious little to see of it aside from the trailer.
Its going to be a really hard sell, gamers can barely be bothered to even press a couple of buttons nowadays, let alone read text and type things in.
I've always had the impression that GOG is quite conservative, ... compared to itch.io and Steam at least.

Hello everyone! Thank you very much for showing interest in our game! :)

We made the first part "Episode 0: Allocation" available for free. You can simply try it out and see if it is something for you. Unfortunately I am not allowed to post links just now, so you can visit kickstarter[dot]code7-game[dot]com to reach the Kickstarter. You will find the download link to the game in an gif at the top. Sorry for the inconvenience :)

If you like the game we would appreciate any support concerning our current Kickstarter campaign!

You're right, the game is quite niche but we make sure it is as accessible as possible! Everything is voice-acted (no reading of giant text-walls required), there is auto-complete and other helpful systems. We have exhibited on the gamescom and many players from all ages and interests played the game.

Thank you very much and we'd be happy to hear your feedback :)

Cheers,
Zein

It's due to you being a new user with less than 10 rep.

Tauto: He fancies you.
Well, I fancy him, too, since he's very polite and helpful!

Regarding the initial question of this topic. We've been in contact with GOG last year and they have been very interested in having Code 7 in the store when it releases. I'm optimistic that the game will be available here in the near future :)

Hello & welcome! Thank you for the demo, I'll try it as soon as I get home later as I find your game very interesting. The voice acting is a nice feature, it should help many people's eyes (including mine) from becoming square by reading lots of text on screen. Although I don't use kickstarter anymore, I hope GOG will release your game when finished or even get you into In Development status (lots of folks in here are happy with InDev releases).
The wishlist entry already exists and is here, in case :

Thanks for the welcome also for pointing out the wishlist, I'm happy to see that our game is wanted :)

We will probably put the game in stores at the beginning of next year, until then you can just download it on Gamejolt or Itch.io.

@Vythonaut: Yeah, we're going for the "not-getting-sqaure-eyes"-approach with the game :D
It's mostly dialogue, texts are short and there are stealth and hacking mini-games for variation. The game will be episodic, so you have smaller chunks of chapters and you can play the game in smaller sessions if you feel like it.
Glad to see a developer in here .
