eleve: Ok, let me try this again...on sending the last 2 tries, the forum software told me I was not allowed to post links :)
The newest version of the gog downloader has a crashing problem (MacPro3,1, OSX10.8.2, security/sandbox setting "allow Applications from anywhere").
The gog downloader starts up fine but as soon as any activity whatsoever happens (like clicking in the window), it crashes with unhandled exception and that error will be reported every few seconds after that (see pic).
Fallen_Zen: Strange thing I must say. I'll dig into it. So if you change it to "Mac App Store and identified developers" it is working? GOG Downloader isn't sandboxed, this is only required for Mac App Store apps.
Sorry, I only saw the msg just nowl
No, that setting doesn't change anything. The downloader won't work no matter what it is. I did mention it because a few days earlier I tested an application (not from the Mac app store either as I try and avoid that one if at all possible. I think Apple is far too arrogant atm to support them and their closed thinking even more than I do already) that only worked after I toggled the setting from "all from everywhere" to "Mac App store and identified Devs". After having done that and gotten the application to run that way, I could then switch back without problems. Unfortunstely, that app wasn't the GOG Downaloader :)
Fallen_Zen: On another note, do you have Voice Over turned on on your system?
Hmmm...I do that from time to tine but can't remember whether it was on or not at the time...moment, I check...
...nah...the downloader crashes with or without Voice Over activated though I do have the feeling it takes a bit longer until the crash with Voice Over de-activated. On a similar note, I do use a few of the other options in Accessibility due to hand problems, like Sticky Keys.
